Thank you so much! ❤ That makes me so happy to hear, and I’m thrilled you’re loving your drawing! I’ll definitely keep sharing - more tutorials are on the way! ❤❤❤🎨✨
English is not my native language (thank subtitles!) and I'm just learning it, but I couldn't help but express my admiration. Thanks for this tutorial, it was magical! You are magical! I’ll definitely try to repeat your lines right now
Nice work :-) I feel like no matter how Light the pressure is, I can never get my layers to be that dark or intense… They just always seem too light and very waxy and shiny.… I find prisma color seem to be the only ones that really grab onto the paper. I want to try it on the tone tan paper, but the last time I use that paper. It just seemed too smooth for colored pencil.… I wonder what I’m doing wrong?😝🤔 By the way, what kind of pencils are you using? Thank you!
Thank you so much! 😊 I totally get what you mean - layering can be tricky! I work with Strathmore toned tan paper, which has a medium tooth, so it’s smooth enough for details but still textured enough to grab the pencil. To avoid waxy layers, start with very light pressure and build up gradually for richer tones. Prismacolor pencils are great for this because they’re so soft! You could also experiment with blending techniques like burnishing (pressing harder with a light or white pencil). Let me know if you give it another try - I’d love to see how it turns out! 😄✨
@@ariellekomieart yeah I’m definitely gonna have to try to approach it differently… And I never thought to ask this before, but is the paper on a board or in the sketchbook still? Because I’m wondering if the pencil has a more difficult time if the surface behind the paper is hard or soft.…? Thank you!
Thank you so much! 😊 I'm so glad you found it helpful! It’s true, you don’t need tons of supplies to create something amazing. Just a few tools and some patience can go a long way. ❤🎨
