- Welding and Fabrication Job Repairing Broken Frame. A leaf vac was brought to us for repair. The original frame was cracked and broken. Several of the welds were broken. The frame was damaged beyond repair. We used the original frame as a template and welded and fabricated a new frame out of heavy wall steel tubing. We cut several critical components from the original frame and integrated them into our new frame. This episode has a lot of tips and tricks on squaring a metal frame, reusing metal parts, duplicating pieces, using tools and general fabrication and welding tips. This is a great beginner welding project showing you DIY do it yourself welding tips.

That's a great job explaining and it came out very nice
Damn it Brandon! Every time I watch a video of yours I have to stop and order something!!!!! Metal Marker Tip Thanks!
Lol it can become addicting! I know the feeling all too well!
Love that welding table, that’s on my list 👍
don't. Pretty sweet Ruben and pretty easy to build ;)
Thanks for sharing with us Brandon! Glad to see you go to the thicker metal 👍. Fred.👍👍👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Fred! It should do the trick! 👍
What a super job!!!
Thanks!
Great video, Brandon! That came out fantastic!
Thanks buddy!
Great video, looking forward to your next one.
Thanks Carl!
Always love your video. Keep doin it !
Thanks Danielle!
Hi Brandon, i was to bizzy tot watch your video,s. But thisone was againverry nice. 👍👍
Thanks Eric!
Good job man
Thanks Keith!
Nice work
Thank you! Cheers!
Good one Brandon. What I love about the metal chop saw is the lack of mess. My original abrasive chop saw used to create soooooo much dust🤣🤣🤣. I've got a Bosch now, and it really only creates chips as opposed to dust.
I agree 100%. I think it cuts a little faster too :)
@@BrandonLund Sure does👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I love that fab table. Way better than just using a bunch of clamps like most other tables show.
My favorite paint so far is dark metallic copper from krylon
Thanks man and I'll check out that paint!
A sharpener 😮never knew that thanks 👍
Your welcome :)
What was the name he called it?
Once again another marvelous video, but you forgot to show the welding of the barrel hinge, so i guess you can make an extra build video of something else next week, great two videos coming LOL,
Thanks for sharing, nice work.
Thanks man! More upcoming content :)
Great build , great video , that should last him a long time , Did you check your new welder for any gas leaks like you did your others ? Thanks TANK
Thanks man! When i first hooked it up I checked the connections by the guage and at the back of the welder. I've already forgot to turn off the bottle and lucky for me when I returned a day later the guage hadn't moved :).
Well Brandon, great job. How did the customer like it? Did everything work okay?
Thanks Robert! Hopefully good. He said his equipment was put away until spring so time will tell
I would like the link to the bandsaw table please.
Here you go and thanks for watching :) th-cam.com/video/JCxDY7TAT7s/w-d-xo.html
👏👏👏 👋👋👋
Thanks buddy! 😁
Hi where did you buy those shoulder bolts please
Hey Keith. I got them on ebay. They are 5/8" diameter x 3/4" long
@@BrandonLund thanks for yr reply
No problem Keith. If you get stuck, give me a holler and ill see if I can find the link to the person I got them from on ebay.
You should have just drilled and tapped new holes for the lock bolts for the gate
I wanted to keep things simple by duplicating what was there... No need to make additional work.
Looks like DR better start building those a little better.
I couldn't agree more 🤭😁
Nicely done. The original frame just wasn't up to the job.
I think the owner will be really pleased with the outcome
@@BrandonLund They should be happy, it's a good job and much better than the original.
This time it was DR doing the scamming instead of the telephone guys. But you fended them off with your fab skills. They better learn not to mess with Brandon.
Hahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣 I love it! I had a scammer on the phone for over 20 minutes the other day. He asked me for the expiration date on my card. I told him to hang on while I get my glasses because the print was too small. I get back on the phone and said "i can see it now" ...it says "!@#$%" I called him a bad word in his language. He got so angry he started swearing at me. By the time we were done our conversation, he had completely told me how his scam works, he taught me 3 new swear words, was calling me "brother" and asked if he could call me back tomorrow so we could talk some more! I swear to god! If I wasn't riding in the passenger seat of my wifes car I would loved to have caught it on video! Take care buddy and thanks for the great comment!
Wow no gussets welded on the old one. Tisk Tisk. Ah one ? why not cut and weld 45* corners with gussets no end caps needed.
Its not necessary. Why reinvent the wheel? If I went ahead and welded gussets and the owner complained of clearance issues, then I end up eating it.
@@BrandonLund Right agree. I wasn't there to make the deal.
I hope I didn't come off condescending. It wasn't my intention. You made a valid point. If I had the whole rig at my shop I probably would have but I told the customer to bring me just the frame so i didn't dare deviate from the original design because I wasn't really sure where any clearance was needed if any.
@@BrandonLund Na your good. I'm just used to giving suggestion to customers to make a product bulletproof granted it was a dump trailer and I didn't know their budget. I was out of line with my suggestion. Happy ThanksGiving!
Its all good bud. Thanks for watching and commenting and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours 👍
