Already booked a balcony on the circle pacific. Did the world cruise on the Sea Princess and we were preparing for the circle and they cut it for 10 years. I cannot fly long distance so was so pleased when princess bought this back. I also enjoy the older ships as you said only 2600 guests so plenty of space, and of they look like ships and not a block of flats. Regards Steve.
If I had the time and didnt have kids at school, I would totally be into that 79 day trip, that looks like a great list of ports. Maybe not the ideal ship, but there are far worse ones.
A couple of things, my wife and have done the Aussie circumnavigation cruise 28 days of bliss and the New Guinea cruise on the old Sea Princess highly recommended both voyages I think we might look into that Circle Pacific cruise Good job Adrian 🇦🇺❤️🚢
Great to see a return of Circle Pacific did the last one in 2016 on Sun Princess and had a great time. Maybe again? Two ships going back to the old days it is what it is but still the older ships first Grand and first Royal class. Thanks for the update. Interestingly though have heard nothing from Princess direct so much for loyalty.
From your video a couple of months ago i gather that Princess is reducing the number of ships for the late 26 season because the cost of sailing into NZ is just too expensive. That is where a big portion of their ships szil to from Australia. These fares are already too expensive for most Australians currently and this will only get worse in the future. Princess has decided they can make more money elsewhere as they won't be able to pass on these added costs on because passengers cannot afford it.
Please Princess cruises don't give Australia the older cast off's from other areas. We deserve nice new Princess ships as well starting in Sydney Australia.
A sign of the market I’m afraid. In some of my recent videos, I discuss these issues plaguing Australia’s cruise industry and now we’re beginning to see the effects coming to fruition over the next few years…
We love Princess for cruising but seriously, the Grand needs to go out to pasture. It feels old. The food is ordinary. Like Cheeses and cold meets being left out all day in the buffet not refrigerated. They looked foul by the arvo. The carpets were well worn etc. The royal is a good option. Bring back the majestic.
I just looked at the list of cruises and I am so disappointed. We wished to do a Pacific Islands one in either November or February on Royal Princess, but it appears the only sailing is on January 4th. Cruise during school holidays? "NO WAY!" I will not sail on anything other than a Royal Class ship so Grand is out of the question. Why is Royal doing so many NZ cruises in February? It is so annoying, we need another Islands cruise. We are also interested in a Qld coastal cruise and the only one we find on Royal is Nov 26th which is little too late and close to Christmas. Looks like we might have to skip the 26-27 season. 😭
Sounds great I will be looking forward to seeing all the new itineraries from Princess. I seen an article somewhere that Royal Caribbean are going to release their 26/27 itineraries on the week of March 31st 2025 for our cruise season here in Australia
Good to see PNG back on the agenda - and skipping those ports (Kitava) that were always too windy for tenders. Australia to Tokyo looking very appealing!
That does look like the best way. South East Asia in August is very hot and many of the ship berths are a fair way from the city. I'd do Australia- Tokyo and then if I wanted to see South East Asia book Singapore-Singapore on one of the ships based there in the more temperate months. (February and March are usually nice and outside monsoon season)
Pity the rest of Australia is left off for embarking and disembarking. The additional costs of flights, accommodation and Uber/taxi sigh sigh sigh! Only one PNG port, nah. Going to your web for itinerary checks. Hopefully, a decent South Pacific option may loom to make it worth while getting to Sydney or Brisbane for. Getting that way, better to fly to a destination and skip the cruise aspect. The 79 dayer sounds good but few who can afford that. They’ll all price themselves out of the market. Just came back from a 15 days cruise. Thought that would be too long but I survived.
@thecruiseandtravelguy - the 2027 PNG cruises - do you know if they will have any overnight stays at any of the ports? 14 nights is a long time for a cruise up the coast and two PNG ports - curious!
Mmm no, it looks like only day time stops at all of the ports. 14 nights is quite long. It looks like they might have padded it out with an extra sea day or 2 within the schedule 🤔
I think market forces have something to do with it. Discovery has a higher pax capacity than Royal Princess even, so I assume Princess is sending her where she will be put to better use.
Query you maybe able to answer for me I'm booked on Crown Princess for NZ Cruise 11-1-24 with the Plus Package. I have the princess app on my phone with my logon should my Daughter create an account with her own Login or just use mine?
Hi Dave. Your daughter doesn't need the app - you should be able to complete all of the check-in procedure from your phone for both yourself and your daughter, and on embarkation day your boarding passes (both) should be available in your app.
The Circle Pacific sounds awesome! And being able to do approx half of that seems very ideal for those wanting to to explore more…. Which is us haha I’m hoping to find something with someone for Japan cruising in April 2027 for my 50th!! Thanks for the informative video ❤
It sounds brilliant hey! Almost 3 months of traipsing around the Pacific Ocean, sign me up lol. Diamond Princess has some great Japan itineraries throughout the year that might be worth considering. Try and snap up a Future Cruise Deposit or 2 when you're on Royal Princess later this year (fully refundable) and you can make a decision about what cruise you might want to book later on in the future.
Domestic cruises that "visit" Willis Is. can reportedly sell duty free goods onboard, that being the case, I think it's a decent enough reason but agree that it's a bit of a useless addition.
@@TheCruiseandTravelGuy interesting. I did not know that. Willis Island is flagged as an external territory of Australia. So perhaps that makes the cruise international? Some legal loophole wrangling.
The 2025 world cruise from Australia has already been changed, some 2026 world cruises are starting to be changed both due to world events. I would think Princess would be waiting to see what happens before they announce further world cruises. Just my opinion.
The Aussie based world cruise occurs mid year, so unless Princess adds another ship to our local deployment, there won’t be an Australian based world cruise in 2027. In its place though, Grand is sailing the Circle Pacific.
Still waiting for a drink ordered in May made me chuckle lol I went onboard for a walk around (not a cruise unfortunately) in March last year and really enjoyed it, but when cruising in Australia there's no smoking indoors so that shouldn't be an issue here.
Admittedly, I haven’t yet sailed on Grand (booked myself onboard in 2026) but I was onboard for a few hours last year while she was in Sydney and it looked like she was beautifully maintained. I have a ship tour and some cabin tours on my channel.
Royal Princess is quite similar to Majestic, personally I prefer the adults only retreat area (in place of MJ's indoor pool) but I know that's a personal preference thing.

Thanks for the update Adrian. We loved our PNG cruise on the then Dawn Princess.
Thanks Mark. PNG is one cruise I have yet to do, but maybe I'll look into that 14 nighter from Sydney!
The Circle Pacific cruise looks awesome 🤩

That circumnavigation is definitely a popular one, and I have a feeling the Circle Pacific will be as well.

I’m already dreaming of setting sail. Can’t wait to see more updates on this amazing journey! 😊😊

Pleased to see they have 2 South Pacific itineraries in January 2027. Perfect!
Please can we have some newer ships.
You were quick with that news!
haha Friday was a busy day for me 😆
Thanks Adrian.
Still sending us the old ships I see grrrr 😮
Per capita we 🇦🇺 cruise a lot, sadly we don’t have the population for their stats.
Distance comes into it as well.
Yeah it’s 💩💩💩

Have done circle the Pacific, wonderful cruise. Would love to do it again.
@@TS-pq8km Yeah, I've done most of south-east Asia, but haven't done Tahiti, Hawaii or the US, so that would be fun.
@@lynetteleclezio5367 I think at 79 days, it would have to be a long service leave trip in a few years time! But on my (long) list 🙂
