E.D. Boyd on Starting the 50 Boyz with Big Meech & Southwest T Before BMF (Full Interview)

- In this VladTV exclusive, Detroit's E.D. Boyd described becoming one of the founders of the 50 Boyz -- the street crew depicted in 50 Cent's "BMF" series. He explained that all of the men in his family were involved in the streets, which led to him moving to Brooklyn after his father died. Despite moving to Brooklyn to escape street life, Boyd still got involved in crime after a mentor, who dealt with drugs and prostitution, took him under his wing. After graduating high school, Boyd was sent to live in Miami during the cocaine era. Eventually, he moved back to Detroit and started his own drug business. I thought it was only me feeling that this was a convoluted interview, thus was rough on the ears for me. He could of cut this interview down by not rattling on about where he grew up, saying shit that wasn't important for the interview. I thought that Vlad was going to help him get through it a little better.

45:16 makes me SO HAPPY! It's my favorite part of this interview. Growing up, we went to Northland mall all the time. It was where everyone went. Teenagers, ballers, mothers, kids. It was a hot spot. It made me excited when they showed the Northland tower on the show. Me and my mom spent many Saturdays at Northland in the 80s. I'm a mall person. It's one of my favorite places. Northland was the first mall in Michigan in 1954. The 80s was such a fun time. I can just imagine a bunch of big time people shopping at Northland during that time. Unfortunately, it closed in 2015. Makes me sad every time I think about it.
