I have been hibernating over the past few months and before you ask, no I haven't retired from making missions or sharing mission editor exploits.
I saw that ShinAkuma uploaded one of his missions, so I converted it to Imashime/Takumi and gave it a try! I.
Please excuse my rusted play, I have been playing too much Ninja Gaiden lately...
I played the mission on Shinobido Takumi, a Japan-exclusive standalone "add-on" which features 300+ custom created missions by fans, where you can unlock and play as multiple characters, one of them being Zaji (and possibly the only useful character next to Goh and Kinu).
I don't know if the game is still in print but you can get it from various Asia import stores (I got mine from play-asia). It's still pretty playable if you don't understand Japanese as menus can be figured out quite easily.
@ShakinJamacian Yeah, even by the same developers, but with a lot of improvements over Tenchu. It could have better enemy AI sometimes and fewer glitches, but the good far outweighs the bad in Shinobido.
Lol... gettin everybody fired up. I'll have to start making "master ninja" versions of missions to upload. Haha. Maybe on the new one I'm workin on.
So this is pretty much a cousin to Tenchu? :P

how the fuck did you get zaji, i already one scroll and i don't get any characters
+Daniel Evan Because you can't unlock Zaji in the original game for the mission editor mode. As you can see in the beginning of the video, I played the mission on Shinobido Takumi, an add-on sequel to the first game which features 300+ custom-made missions. By beating missions you unlock things like playable characters including Zaji. However there's not that much of a big deal playing with Zaji because his move-set is 100% identical to Goh's - however he's the only useful unlockable character because except the Asuka Ninja, no other character can perform stealth kills which makes using them totally futile.
How about samurai? Did you get samurai character? If you get that, what scroll did you finished to get that samurai?
+Daniel Evan Sorry from before, now it's clear to me that you actually meant Takumi in your original question :D
I've beaten every mission therefore unlocking everything. I can't remember which scroll you need to beat to unlock the Samurai - The last time I played the game was in 2008.

Now after a little research, you unlock Zaji by beating the "Tower of Asuka", and you get the samurai by beating the "Tower of Battle". Don't ask me which scroll is which though :P

I don't know how I should help you? I can't come to your home and pick up the gamepad and play the game for you.
You just need to keep beating all missions in a scroll, then the characters will appear for each scroll that you have beaten. The most likely reason that no character was unlocked for the first scroll you completed is that maybe something else was unlocked for example a video. Just keep playing and eventually you should get all characters.
