Oh, the original creater! Such a fine work of yours, the emotional scenes fit the music splendidly - the main melody the same as Canta per Me (kinda like a love song) but with a strong taste of darkness - your video depicted that feeling beautifully. And thank you for your generosity of accepting someone else sharing it here, apparently without approval, so that Noir fans on TH-cam also have a chance to see it.
Dude, your AMV work here was EPIC. Every time I watch this I get chills and tears. Thank you so much for making one of the greatest tributes and AMVs to Noir ever, and that's saying a lot. I downloaded the video in case it ever gets "disappeared" again.
Oh god, I dont know if you will read this but I want to THANK YOU SO MUCH. I have seen this video at least once in a while for 12 years. One of the few AMVs that has been able to survive to my adult years.
The Soundtrack for this anime still ranks as my fave after all these years. Brilliant story as well. It still has a place in my heart as one of the greats. I just loved the characters. Particularly Kirika and Chloe. Great memories.
Music..... There are types of music that comforts me There are types of music that I can listen to while working. But very little music would bring one to a whole new dimension. This is one of them.
Yuki Kajiura is a very gifted composer. I really love her work in most every anime I've heard it in. Having her involved with an anime's soundtrack is certain to raise the quality of it. ^_^
Everytime listening to this melody, there is only one scene in front of my eyes. A dark pink yet crimson red sky, antique buildings, peace with gun shots everywhere. It's sinful yet holy pure as well.
I love the music, themes, plots, characters and facial expressions in anime and mans. They rule! =D I especially love the little creases in the nose and eyes when people smile or frown.
2 girls fighting for their future against their past, and in the end, get strong enough to live happy, supported by an indescribable beautiful soundtrack.......really....there ain't anything more sad and at the same time satisfying than the ending of NOIR.
i've never seen this series... seeing some of the scenes in here makes me want to watch the series... it looks so intense and cool... the story got to be unique
I seem to recall that the little blood was because of TV broadcast. Although it also lends a very different quality to the violence, as well. I think it's actually appropriate to the tone.
This is the version of Salva Nos from Fiction, Kajiura's compilation album, not from the Noir OST. A fantastic song, and I honestly like this one a little better.
@Varanor I don't know how anyone won't be able to tell though. I'm not even from a western country and I know Latin when I see or hear it, it's THAT much of a lingua franca, even in Asia. There isn't anything but Latin that would have "Dominus Deus" in it.
@babyducky1023 i agree. i prefered Kirika i think out of everyone. But as an assassin pair in the anime, i loved Kirika and Chloe, just because Chloe is at the same level as Kirika and its was amazing to watch them fight.
Serious question and I hope nobody takes this as offense to their taste, but where was the Noir element In this series? Is it maybe because I was expecting a film noir vibe? Also this song is soooooooo righteous, I truly loved this anime even though it seemed a little short on a few key things that make a serious AMAZING to me like details in background character animation, but I can't deny the soundtrack, that opening and ending theme just sent me flying out of my body. Now that I think about it though Maybe the reason they didn't have a lot of people walking around during shots of the city is because it helped make you feel alone and isolated like the protagonists... ooooor Its just an animation shortcut lol. Any thoughts on this anime and its soundtrack?
I agree with you, I saw it on the TV for the first time and had a kinda sad and lonely feeling about it. At first I couldnt explain it, because I was about 10 at the time but later I recognized the pattern of ongoing isolation, killing everyone regardless of their relationship to the two and the lonely locations or only with spare people. I think it's made this way just to give you the feeling of lonelyness and hopelessness, and no way out of the endless circle of killing. Sorry if I make mistakes, english is not my native tounge.
xcaluhbration I actually watched the series on Spanish :) But I remember they explain the name at the end. When they say that the link between the both protagonist had been darkedned with the killings and blood, so their friendship was darker than night (or something by the way, i cannot remember the exact quote that was just AWESOME!! haha) About the soundtrack, it makes sense because the idea of "having the noires" was the she would take the sins of the sinners they murdered, because they cleansed them by killing them, so Salva Nos (Latinfor Save us) makes sense... What I think was odd, and it kind of made me laugh was the fact that there was no blood from any of the people they killed...
@@arolveloso they weren't allowed to show blood on the channel they aired it at in Japan (as despite its actual quality story and music is it a budget series). But when they were going to put it on DVD, they didn't have enough time to add the blood back in before the deadline. The next series in the "Girls with guns" trilogy, Madlax, they managed to add in the blood for the DVDs. I hope they add blood to the next DVD release, for an anniversary or something..! And you share first name with one of the main characters in my favorite book series xD
@Varanor what is up with people confusing this with spanish? xDD it's definitely not. if they looked upt he lyrics, it's blatantly obvious that its Latin. Go you for knowing its latin as well! =]
They do on rare occasion. They didn't want to take away from the emotion of the storyline. I'd have said a little more blood would have made it better but I'm in love with Noir so it's irrelevant.
Glad to see someone uploaded my AMV. I didn't know it was here on TH-cam, brings me back good memories. Thanks everybody!

Music.....
There are types of music that comforts me
There are types of music that I can listen to while working.
But very little music would bring one to a whole new dimension. This is one of them.
goosebumps... i think i should watch it again the 14th times since 11 years ^^
I love Salva Nos and Cante Per Me. My two favorites
Yuki Kajiura is a very gifted composer. I really love her work in most every anime I've heard it in. Having her involved with an anime's soundtrack is certain to raise the quality of it. ^_^
3:42; omg! that is like the most beautiful note I've heard in my life!
Noirはすばらしい。屈指のアニメだ。
Everytime listening to this melody, there is only one scene in front of my eyes. A dark pink yet crimson red sky, antique buildings, peace with gun shots everywhere. It's sinful yet holy pure as well.
Gorgeous!!

not many things make music more epic than pipe organs and latin O-o
love Noir! Does someone know any more good anime? I have hard finding good animes xD
Noir is the only anime I've ever really enjoyed
@iago71 I can say excatly the same. Great story with a stunning music. And it won't change, no matter the passage of time.
Can someone tell me where I can find this version. I love Noir and Salva Nos was my favorite song from it. Please PM it if you can.
Thank you.
Where can I get this version of Salva Nos ? I have the 3 OST and i don't find that one.
In YK's album "Fiction".

I don't have this version of the song.... i even bought all three OST's
Did you watch the Whole series? A lot of things happen, so she gets that cold look.

@demonhorse103 Yeah, no kidding!! I never realized how much they look alike. (hardcore Haman Khan fan here)

You said "I have this song :D" so I'm Asking can you tell me where you got it or where I can get it.

dit is erg leuk
the translation for salvanos is the same in spanish: rescue us
I want it but I get the techno version. Not that I mind. its pretty cool
このFICTION版よりやっぱNOIRサントラ版のアレンジの方がいい
i wanna sing this....hmmm i wonder if i could....maybe be an opera singer....*thinks hard...my head hurts....
It's the original version, I believe
noir is a great story, besides the excellent soundtrack
@babyducky1023 i agree. i prefered Kirika i think out of everyone. But as an assassin pair in the anime, i loved Kirika and Chloe, just because Chloe is at the same level as Kirika and its was amazing to watch them fight.
he is talking about yuki kajiura
@7ARROW7 the whole song is in Latin.
Who is the singer? Yuki Kajiura herself? I like it so much.
+TheFlonn Yuri Kasahara
+Ho Tang Much obliged.

+LichtdesMorgens Agree
Well, Noir means black, and obviously that's a very dark world these two live in, and I am answering a three year old question... damn, I'm bored...

eat ong, although Canta per me srikes a deeper chord with me.
and....... at 1:16, the girl reminds me of Motoko Kusanagi from GITS...

@Varanor that's true !
But the lyric have a little part in spanish, i said that 'cause i speak spanish ;)
The noir Soundtrack is one of the best works of yuki, too bad the NOIR anime dont fit this GREAT Soundtrack
