UPDATE: At 2:56 for copying another player's base, it seems they need to grant you base permissions FIRST to copy it. So that is how you can "opt-out" of that feature. Have any other base building tips? Let me know in the comments! Enter the base contest in my Discord: discord.gg/GGN4tSa
I just tried to go to another players house and copy it like you said in the video, and it just said "Not enough permissions" and wouldn't let me do it. Tried several houses, doestn't work.
Adding here, the reason you can add switch is, if you want to build your base with a lot of turrets, you need a lot of power for that. So, you can turn off all other electrical stuffs in your base and turn on the turrets when you are doing a purification.
In regards to the 2 water pumps, the small water pump is used for getting water to flow up (vertically from a lower level of your base to a higher level of your base), it also has to be placed on a wall. Also if you have a high level Beaver Buddy sometimes instead of bringing you back logs they will bring you back furniture.
Fun fact on water pumps: they can't technically be built on a foundation, but they CAN be placed on a foundation if two legs are just slightly off the foundation. But then the game allows you to build another foundation next to the first one, making it look like the pump is actually built on the foundation. Looks pretty clean. Just remember that it's still technically built on the ground, and will get lost if you move your base without deleting it first.
Repairing your base is super easy, no need to go around repairing anything. Just approach your territory's terminal and repair from there with just one click (so long you have the mats... also if you have the paper figure it will automatically repair stuff for you
I'd recommend foundations on the outside perimeter of a building and one row in the middle, cause high durability foundations wont break as easily from mobs
@@adaroben1104 Break as easily as what? Absolutely nothing? Build you base up, and there's nothing for them to attack. Build on the ground, and they won't be hitting the base units, just walls.
10:15 - So for the Flight mode keybind, in case you're having trouble, I have an EU Qwerty keyboard and for me it's the "ç" which is directly to the right of "L" in my case. On some keyboards it might not be that key but it should still be the key that is located directly to the right of "L". In case it's neither of these I saw some people saying on my EU server's ingame chat that "@" key worked for them.
one important pont is missing. You can profit from the Mematic specialisation of your friends. Example: If your friend has the improved bio powerplant, you can have him build it in your base and provit from the extra 5W. This works for all specialisations that improve an appliance and/or allow access to special blueprints You can also trade your solar drill or things like that with you friends.
This is something a friend and i are trying to figure out. Is there anything on a base that requires you to have your own base vs sharing a base. We are moving our bases together and its a huge pain to get them to line up again when we move. We keep getting as close as we can, and building again to have a cross over area. But if we can just use one base, that would be so much easier.
Actually good mechanics tbh. I build up on survival games, try to move and get over it from grinding my brain out. Moving your base is dope and saving the frame is cool af
Same in Scandinavia, it's ö key a bit left from the enter key. Also found that sadly you can't rebind anything to tilde, left of 1 near Esc key. Really wanted to have it for auto run.
Just be aware that food will not cook if the stove isn't powered, so if you walk off the pressure switch while food is cooking, the food will stop being made
The only thing that sucks about saving base BPs is it saves all the benches and stuff too. We already know you can carry over base BPs to another server after the resets but that's going to be tough since you won't be able to build the advanced stations. I wish there was a way to just save the structure itself. For now I guess last day of the server I'm going to break down everything but the building and save it so I can build it again from the very start.
From house blueprint you can just build your house and leave another part for time when you will open it. Projection of bluepring will visible only in build mode so no one not bother you just build your house only in first time.
I am still learning the blueprint part. But it might be ideal to save blueprints as you progress from smaller base to bigger, so that when you start you have a basic setup to use. Then add on sections as you go
Save your base as a BP in each stage of the game so you have a progression map of how to get it back to pre-wipe via being able to place your next "Tier" of saved BPs as you progress. IE first BP is only the structure, second one has some of the basic crafting stuff, etc... and you replace it with the new BP each time you progress. Not sure if that'll work, I just started playing lol but I'll try it myself
If someone german (or people whose keyboards are similar in that way) its not the "~" and not the "^" buttons, but the "ö" button. For whatever reasons. 36 hours of cramps have been gone after knowing that, enjoy building now, Metas! :)

You can move your base around by pressing Z at the new location, you can do this every 10 minutes. great if you are going to be in a new area for awhile.

Do you have a video on how to quickly install solar panels so that there is electricity in the house? I can't find all the necessary components for them
When you move your base, it destroys all water pumps and stardust water pumps. Furthermore, you lose all materials used to craft them and need to go farm them again. You probably found out by now but... You can expand your own territory in the Memetics, and you can also 'snap' two or more territories together. Once two or more territories are snapped together, foundation pieces then can be built all the way to the shared border/s (and even slightly over in some cases) so it can end up looking like one massive house, or compound. You just have to make sure that heights and alignments are correct for the seamless look.
Amazing video @MattyGorm ! Question here: In your opinion, would this work? 1. I build my base that I use with benches, living quarters, crafting and storage area, so a main base. 2. Then I save it as a blueprint, let's call it MAIN. 3. Destroy it, build planting boxes on the whole surface with lights, watering system etc, so a complete FARM farm. 4. Like when I play with my friends, or solo I use MAIN, but before I go to sleep or work I use FARM to grow plants, purify acid and all that. So is it possible to switch back and forth between base blueprints? And if it does indeed work like this would I need the materials every single rebuild or I can just rebuild whenever I want to? -bbodrogicsaba, EU-PVP01-0002
How do you make a second base? Or did you mean a second structure within the same territory? Can I make a small defensive structure just for resonator and the enemies will only attack that part and leave my main structure alone? I just found out about the resonator and I'm about to rebuild my whole base because I built for style and not defense 😅But if a small structure away from the main structure is sufficient for resonator defense, then that would be quite helpful.
Yeah basically setting up 2 bases within the same territory. Although the enemies for the resonator event seem buggy so your success may vary with that!
Thanks for this, unfortunately, it doesn't help the issue I'm having. When I logged back in this morning, my base was split between where is once was, and where I moved it to. What's more, if I try to move it, the hologram image is rotated on its axis by 90 degrees cutting off about 30% of my entire base.
Hi can i ask a question regarding base permission on friends can they build in my main base as well specifically for example my power supply main base 7/7 can my friend create power supply to my base with 7/7 as well?
I wished you had shown placing one of those presets, I have had the hardest time trying to place the exquisite villa preset, I cant get it to fit the territory. I'm sure I am missing something.
The only trick I need to learn is how to snap a foundation to another BUT ALSO slightly raise it. After it snaps, just holding ALT and scrolling does not work. It won't move up.
I tried building off a blueprint and its horrible! slotting things into correct places and the game was telling me it was wrong. Was doing it at least half the time. Was placing floors all the same piece and half of them was showing red.
any time i ever tried to add other peoples Blueprint it has always been you do not have that permission. that said i also they should have a menu to share community blueprints
Not sure how much this idea is usefull, but i found that adding a very tall tower to jump from and glide, helps me a lot to get to places or simply avoid some travel time by going over cliffs and mountains. Recently used thi to reach a Mystical crate on top of a building by simply relocating my base.
i am unable to place more then 2 wooden frames in a row. how is it possible everyone is doing that but the game doesnt let me even put 2 of them next to each other?!
Bro when i fight in my house i forget what it that, and then my base broken, and i go to terminal territory bc i know there has repair button, and that not do anything
I got a question, can i build a base with friends? and i mean not giving them just the rights to use and build but combine the lots, or make one lot instead of making our own.
Give your friend all access about your base and your friend have to do the same for you, and you will be able to stick your bases each others, you will be also able to craft, build etc... On his base and your friend too
Theoretically you could do this yes. You would have to find a spot where both your building zones can fit and you will have to use communication and landmarks to line up the edge of your building zones together. But other than that as long as you both give each other full permission to build in each other's base I'd say this is very possible.
There is a bug I've noticed where building meshes can take a while to load in on potatoes. You can drive directly through what should be a collision mesh, but currently is unloaded clientside. It's an odd choice to have client position so stringently overide server, but that's how it currently seems to work.
@@MrApocalyptic - Gotcha. Then they probably drove through it while it was unloaded, there's a path in somewhere, or they did some vehicular acrobatics.

u know how to make more limit structures, i have max 700 and i need more cuz i make a castle...
17:22 how is a car inside the trader isn't it blocked off?
There is a bug I've noticed where building meshes can take a while to load in on potatoes. You can drive directly through what should be a collision mesh, but currently is unloaded clientside. It's an odd choice to have client position so stringently overide server, but that's how it currently seems to work.
You can probably also just hit "g" and then place your vehicle wherever.
@@SeamusCameron Not the hive trucks or the other truck that is smaller
@@MrApocalyptic - Gotcha. Then they probably drove through it while it was unloaded, there's a path in somewhere, or they did some vehicular acrobatics.
@@SeamusCameron Yeah, I bet they did some acrobatics haha.
