Do you know who to contact to get started as a NEMT in Virginia? Can you use a sedan or does it have to be a van with wheelchair access? I am in the process of getting a license as NEMT getting accurate info for who to speak with has been difficult and time consuming with long holds and multiple transfers without accurate info to proceed.

You can partner with brokers to get started with some trips. And they will provide you with the requirements for vehicles.

I have been an nemt provider for over fifteen years now southeastrans gives us $14 on the a-league and $14 on the be leg for an ambulatory patient would you not get an increase for the weekend we do not get an increase for Sundays or holidays at all

Hi Natalie! Brokers give you trips with clients, I guess that's what you asked.
Regarding wait time: we have a video with rates: th-cam.com/video/qceSg9X8F0E/w-d-xo.html But here is what CMS says about compensation for wait time:
In some places, Medicaid might not pay ride services for the time a driver waits for you to arrive or if you do not show up for planned pickups. In other States, there may be limits on how long the driver can wait for you if you are not on time
