Hans, I have been training in all your methods for years now, it completely changed the out comes whether obedience, protection, detection, etc., if anyone out there is skeptical, I promise you his methods aren't "old school", they are the ONLY school because they address how the dog thinks first! Keep it up and can't wait to get one of your Alpine K-9 Certified 6 month olds!
Hello, Hans! Regarding your certification you spoke of, will you be posting videos of your testing process? I’d be interested to see you evaluate and critique the dogs. I briefly got involved in Schutzhund back in the 90s/early 2000s but it wasn’t something I pursued. I really just valued a good personal protection dog as I still do. I have seen many of your videos and really enjoy them. I’m always trying to learn something new. Thank you and God bless!
@hans-alpinek9real far too many people are getting them who have absolutely no business owning one, would like to know your thoughts on regulating both breeders and handlers maybe in a future podcast. Thanks for the knowledge as always.
I have a question regarding Malinois handler redirection: I heard from two other trainers on TH-cam said that beside the high driven issue, dogs can redirect at handler out of frustration. As in training, even when they calm down, they get reward to go get that bite exercise. In real life situation on job, when the schedule is busy, they don’t get those reward bite exercise often or at all for days. One of the trainer specifically said that Malinois is prone to this frustration handler redirect biting. He said himself preferring German Shepherd for this reason, implying German Shepherd nervous system is more stable to control frustration, a genetic matter. So do you see extinction of handler redirection with out of drive training for Malinois, when Malinois is deprived of reward biting exercise? Or the risk is always there?
Hey team Hans. I just wanted to say that you guys should check if monetisation is available for the channel. You should be up to the required watch time at least. Check it out because Hans still wants his jet!
If a dog is biting the handler, the relationship is not aligned properly. More work needs to be done on the non-learning “relationship” corner stone. Motivators, bite work should only commence once the relationship is solid, once that dog is perceiving things correctly then you start that kind of work/training….
Yes,and yes.1 year old i got her and no one had rried to put rules and boundaries.i learnt hard way that reacting and not proacting is leading to bites.no her fault.just i m sad because defaults have been established.i wish i had her from the beginning to form her as i have learnt now.
Just found this channel and the dog training and life lessons are priceless. Thank you! I binged watch this channel over the weekend, and it sounds like AlpineK9 no longer trains their own dogs for sale but are only importing trained dogs. Is that correct? Hearting breaking if so…

Yes. Couple of times (Mal), after being ran up on by other dogs. He couldn't get at them so turned to me in frustration.
Sorry to hear that happened. Unfortunately they are being bred for higher and higher drive because of sports.

Awesome topic. Great delivery.
Haven't been bit by my gsd/mal yet, but I see how it could happen
You never know when it can happen but the GSD in your dog might prevent it 😊
Thanks
