    How did the aluminium compare to the copper core?

    • @TheBroDojo
      @TheBroDojo  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Stock one is aluminum as well just a thinner core with plastic end tanks.

    Handy video, thanks. Did you lose much trans fluid from the oil cooler?

    • @TheBroDojo
      @TheBroDojo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine doesn’t have that as it’s a manual transmission.
      Though, when I replaced the radiator in my auto 1kz Hiace only a very little bit of trans fluid came out .Not enough to need to add any fluid

    Jays, mate, I think you just gave the confidence I needed to change my own radiator. That didn't look too hard. I might give it a go. Thank you.

      Its definitely one of the easier radiators Ive ever replaced. Older Hondas are probably the simplest I've encountered.

    @thebrodojo how is it holding after a year? My KZJ95 1kzte is over heating uphill at low rpm. I am planning on replacing my radiator soon. What is the part number of yours as the amazon link doesn't work anymore? Thanks

      I’ve since sold the Prado, but haven’t heard any complaints from new owner.
      I’ll see if I can relink the radiator later tonight. Those Amazon listing always changing 😄

    in real time how long did this take?

    • @TheBroDojo
      @TheBroDojo  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This can easily be done in about an hour if you are quick and thorough.
      Took me a few hours due to figuring out some stuff for the first time and then figuring out where and what all to record.

      @@TheBroDojo the welds between the tubes and the upper plate. Directly below the filler cap. When it gets hot, it sprays. Both of mine failed in the same place.

      Does the orginal radiator cap fit good in the aluminium radiator? I can imagine that the welds fail when the pressurized water can't overflow past the radiator cap into the reservoir. Cheers
