Bantu languages are a group of languages, part of the Southern Bantoid branch of the Niger-Congo language family.
They are spoken by ~350 million people (5% of the world), in countries across Central Africa, Southwest, and East Africa, as well as Southern Africa. They are all hypothesised to come from one ancestor language - Proto-Bantu.
