Thanks for the great walk through. I own one of these. Best amp I have ever had. I play mostly Southern Rock and I love the lead channel for most of the tones I need. Takes pedals well too, but as you sai, sounds great just straight in.
Hi Mark, Yes I think I started looking at them about 3 years ago! they do sound really nice, especially for a blues sound that you can just plug into with no pedals. Also the attenuator is really great to have 😀
Just got one - the reverb mix into the fundamental signal is weak which is my only issue. Can’t get those dripping fender reverb sounds. Do you have this issue?
Yes you’re right I did a lot of reading about this amp and several people mentioned the reverb isn’t like a fender it’s much more subtle. Someone did mention swapping the reverb tube out for another one to make it more apparent. The clean channel also lacks that fender sparkle ✨ but I suppose you don’t get everything in one amp even at this price 😀
@@crossroadbluessecrets I had to return it because the transformer would start buzzing after 40 minutes like clockwork - the metal would expand on it - very cheap materials
I bet that sounds great, I'd like to see a video on that if you do one 👍 The thing is after buying this I'm now bankrupt, so probably won't be purchasing anything else for a while......but just look at the distortion pedal .....
@@j.rozman7016 thanks for responding. hmmmm…sounds interesting. As it is, I’m delighted with how the amp sounds, as is, with the Jensen. But…never say never.
Congratulations on your Imperial MKII.
I’ve had mine for about five years now, and I absolutely love it.
Thanks so much 👍 yes they are really great, they feel nice to play through too. Glad you love yours

Yes, the lead channel sounds and feels really nice, it's good just to plug in with no pedals 👍
Gorgeous amp! Sounds awesome! 😎
Thanks! Really enjoyed the demo. I've been thinking about getting one of these for a while.

Great demonstration. Thank you.
You are welcome!
Tone King stuff is truly King... I want the Sky King so badly I can taste it!
Yes they sound great too 👍
A few minutes with a Gibson or Humbucker something would have made this good demo even better.
bet you could find one on youtube...lol
Sorry! I have a Humbucker its a Joe Satriani model I didn't think to try it, I will give it a go for next one!
@@crossroadbluessecrets No it’s ok. Not a complaint but suggestion, since the single coil stuff was so good.
I have had mine for about a year and it is a beautiful amp
That's great, glad you're enjoying yours 👍

Try changing the 12AT7 to a 12AX7. More drive into the reverb. Worked on mine.
@@peterburi2727 it ended up also havng a loud buzzing transformer after getting hot. I returned it and got a two rock
That's wild I have one and my reverb sound great but I don't use to much I keep mine on 3.5

I upgraded mine with Celestion Ruby speaker and it sounds great!!

How did the tone tone/response change?
Tone is warmer and rounder. Clean headroom is about the same, but ovedriven tones are second to none! @@GordonPavilion

i have mk2. not handwired as many think, if that matters
Yes I think they call it hardwired, but it has something to do with the circuit board?
But the circuit board is serviceable and very high quality.
@@crossroadbluessecrets i don't believe it's marketed as hand wired
@@gregmican yes, it's not the typical cheap green garbage boards most companies use
Backing track?
That was one I made myself, I'll put it up
Super-Vee BladeRunner Tremolo...NICE!
Yes It sounds good 👍
