They took culture, pop culture, into a show where everyone can relate to it. They may mock a lot of things, some of which, I have connections with, but it’s not so easy for me to feel offended because it’s not done in such a way where they jab the offenses that deep. Of course there are people who have thin enough skin, but that’s the beauty of comedy. Characters like Ned Flanders and reverend Lovejoy, are the exact personification of what Christianity stand for in the minds of the American people, among many things. But the Simpsons have more positive impacts than you may think. Just several weeks ago, the character Apu was under fire for being an Indian stereotype, and this show’s been going on for over 20 years, but they wanted to make it right so that it sits well with everybody. And even the voice actor of Apu, announced he would voluntarily step down, so that they can cast a more appropriate actor that won’t stereotype Apu’s background. A move that received numerous amounts of praise. So they don’t always sit on their mockery, because it’s meant to be a comedic show at heart, and when plots get serious or tough, either in real life, or the cartoon, there’s always that resolution at the end.
I don't like The Simpson but that respond that you send to my name, maybe addressed to someone else, I don't like any of the characters expecially Bart.
