I disagree, if an impression sucks the criticism deserves to be harsh. You can't let people go around thinking they are good if they suck or they'll never improve.

MrParkerman6 Yes but there’s a fine line there. If you’re too harsh the other person may completely give up something they genuinely enjoy doing, especially if they’re young and impressionable. Imagine if you put a lot of time and effort into learning something new only to have the person you admired tell you that what you’ve accomplished isn’t good enough. I personally think her comments were just about right. While I agree with you on some level ( there were a few people that I think she was too nice to) I think the fact that she gave them pointers on how to do better was really great! She seems like she’d be an excellent voice acting coach.

She’s not only the voice she’s part of the shows spirit...the soft side of Bart meant a lot to me in the Simpsons
Honestly one of my favorite episodes had to be I'm pretty sure it's called boy hood but being able to see bart grow up really allows you to see another side of him and a number of other characters

I’m sensing that even a voice actress like Nancy has to take care of her voice as a singer would. To be able to maintain that perfect tone for each character after 30 years is a very cool talent. I can only imagine the fun moments people have had with her doing Bart’s voice for them at just the right time. Thank you Nancy!
Wow! she's speaks so eloquently and descriptive. Watching her hold the voice so consistently, I never realized that aspect and its importance, as well as the brilliance of showcasing Bart's voice while descending & then ascending through several ages of Bart. Yes it was Christina Cavanaugh who was the first Chuckie voice and she also did the voice of Oblina on Aaaah Real Monsters!
When she talks, all I see are those characters. She is an incredible voice actor.
She is a master of the craft. Also, she uses what she has, she doesn’t do impressions of Bart or Nelson, she already has them in there. If someone is working on a new character they will need to find their own voice, something their pipes are made for.
Nancy’s regular speaking voice sounds so much like Bart. It’s her accent, and light rasp in her throat that can’t be copied. She’s such a legend. She’s right about guys not being able to do the voices correctly, it has to do with anatomy. Dudes voices are too deep and it sounds forced when they try to speak n a higher register.
She’s really worth her millions.
