I was lucky enough to see your performance when my twins were about four yrs old. I had no idea you were the Ring Master when we bought our tickets. Best surprise ever! We had such a blast. I'm so sad the circus is over and done, but have such special memories. Cheers to you!
This is awesome Chuck!!! Ringmaster is kinda my "Guilty Pleasure" dream performing gig!! You are an inspiration!! Always fun to do a gig where you show your true spirit & make people feel good about themselves plus having fun.
Hi Chuck! One time I took my Mother and son to Barnum and Bailey Circus in St. Petersburg, Fl. We were in the bleachers on the floor level. An elephant passed us. He pooped and it splashed all over us!!!
I saw the Shriner's Circus many years ago as a kid and was captivated. I would've loved to see you perform in the Over The Top tour if I'd had the opportunity. Thank you for the retrospective.
Chuck, what did ultimately leed to the Circus closing? Was it the rise and popularity of Cirque du Soleil? Animal rights and treatment had always been around for the Circus, so I never thought that as a sole reason. Did we just evolve to different forms of entertainment? If so, then why are live performances still attended and loved as much as they are. Happy New Year and thank you.-Sarge
It was a combination of things. Mostly the cost I think, plus the diminishing popularity. I think we are all lost in cyberspace now. It is s shame, but nothing every stays the same. Hardcore circus fans will always endure!
Wow you and I have something in common, we both worked for the Circus! I worked for Tarzan Zerbini traveling circus the people and animals were awesome plus I learned a lot, it was the first and only place where I got peed on by a cross eyed white Siberian Tiger.... ...aaaw the memories !
