Throttle/Choke Replacement on Craftsman T210 Lawn Tractor

Almost four years of owning this Craftsman T210 Lawn Tractor I finally had to replace the throttle/choke control and cable. The cable failed due to a week of freezing temperatures, the cable froze up. We had seven inches of snowfall and I needed the T210 with blade to clear snow but as I attempted to free it loose, it snapped into. $42 dollars and four days later, I received the replacement part, installation is simple but $42 dollars for a piece of plastic with a cable? That’s extortion! $20 dollars? Yeah I could see that. The replacement part number is down below ⬇️

Does your seat sqeak when you press in the middle of it

I’ve had mine four years and not having that issue yet. But I will say, I do not mow smooth turf lawns, I mow pasture ground and it’s a very rough ride. Those springs do no good for me. I’ve tried using inner tubes but they fail in no time. That’s my only issue with the seat as of now.

I mean the actual foam part of the seat not the spring or hinge

I’m not having that issue, my thinking is it might be the safety switch which is in the middle of the seat.
