You should upgrade to diamond/ emerald/netherite teeth the more runs you complete and run out of gold teeth!
Or do gold for successful level 1, emerald for level 2, etc.

I think you might have the scariest version of Decked out because of that animation resource pack! The ravagers are kind of terrifying with that run animation
And he just got the unluckiest. He should ask tango to rearrange the ravegers before his runs. He is just getting unlucky on where the ravegers are

I rarely hear Xisuma say anything playfully mean or teasing, so hearing him tell Bdubs to "keep his mouth shut" caught me totally off guard haha

@@CMinorOp67 I'm pretty sure Zed talked to Tango before making holes in his game. Zed likely closed that one up too since it went to the outside of the game.

SUGGESTION: BDubs, you should create a new skin to camouflage with the dungeon environment so those ravagers don't see you as easily. Your Moss Camo sorta sticks out! 😉

The funniest thing is that his first artifact was on level one and if he had got out he would have had a massive advantage as he could have gotten a common card
Not really, it depends on the artifact. A level 1 artifact still gives you level 1 rewards, even on medium difficulty.
@@NedJefferyits still a medium level 1 artifact though. The lowest it'll go is 12 or 13, which is enough for any common card he wants (or victory tome)

Got to say, the Better Animations resource pack makes those Ravagers much more terrifying when they're running at you.
Only Bdubs could successfully make it to level 2 with a level 1 compass first try. Edit for spelling

I’ve been so addicted to watching hermits play decked out that I could probably draw the layout of level 1 in my sleep lol. This game is fantastic, and Tango did such an amazing job!

Bdubs vids are so joyous. I genuinely don't think I stop smiling throughout - just the little jokes, the commentary, the ridiculous self congratulatory nature...an absolute pleasure from beginning to end.

Doing great, bdubs! You need to work on breaking line of sight when the ravagers are chasing. Instead of running in a straight line away from them, you should look for places to run around/behind to break line of sight and stop them chasing.
THAT was his first run? There was so much treasure! Some people didn't find any frost embers until their fifth or sixth time in the dungeon! Lucky lucky Moss Man. 😄
It's the moment of clarity. You can only use the card in one run and don't get it back. Most people don't use the card at the start because of that
I _think_ he had two runs before the first one on this video. Where he did 2 easy runs, died on both, and traveled down to the 2nd level on his 2nd easy one to see his ship.
And he had 10 runs left over because Tango gave him 2 shards for building the ship.

@@CMinorOp67no, in the stream Saturday bdubs showed up and said the only thing he cared about was seeing his ship and went straight for level two. I believe he was the first person down to level 2, he was only like the 5th person in and nobody had won yet.

@@CMinorOp67 That was his first run, I watched the live streams on Tango's channel. So unless there were other runs before/after the live streams, that was his very first run, he ran into the dungeon and his ONLY goal was to see his ship. Everyone was telling him to not use that ethereal card if he wasn't playing the first run seriously, but Bdubs being Bdubs, ran in without thinking and it was glorious!
I love how much effort was put into this! tango must be so happy about how this turned out!

Peak - (v.) reach a highest point, either of a specified value or at a specified time.
I think you’re letting the ravagers get too close before trying to get them off your tail. It doesn’t give you a lot of wiggle room in case there’s a hazard block or additional ravager in your path or whatever. But you’re doing great!! Tango did SUCH a good job making this so incredibly watchable and hopefully fun for you to play too!
You may not have been the most successful, but the joy and entertainment of each run brings us 100% happiness
I was in Tango's livestream for that first run and at 6:10 or so I spit my coffee all over my monitor! We love you Bubbles!
The first run was a LEVEL 1 compass. Plus all that treasure!! TWO Rusty repair kits. So much to unpack Holy hell.
I had no idea watching the stream, that might have been the luckiest run that day if it wasn't also a blunder :(
What does the repair kit do?

I think I know what it does (and I share the hypothesis with Hypno), but I'll put it behind spoilers:
I've noticed that it's an iron_ingot instead of iron_nugget like all the other items. Major spoilers below:
In the dungeon, there's an iron golem exposed in a chamber - I'm thinking it's something to do with repairing that guy. It's the 1x1 hole just over the bridge in level 2, just before dropping down the one-way wall to the mushroom area. It's like a library with lava pipes etc. And there's caged iron golems, with one of them being exposed for repairing.
You might of had some terrible luck, but I am thoroughly impressed with how much time and consideration you put into learning the game and the terminology. You showed complete professionalism towards Tango and his creation. You were #1 in that category this week.
Even with Bdubs dying a lot, he definitely feels like the most experienced player of Decked Out already, knowing the treasure locations and all.
6:00 bdubs is by far the most entertaining of everyone doing decked out runs.
I feel so bad for you, 2 wins out of 10 and you played really well. What's worse, only one of the wins was really a win, because that 6 ember run with moment of clarity can be barely counted as a reward :( Only 1 new card, no victory tome and didn't even get to see your ship ;( I wish you good luck next week, you really deserve to get at least 4 or 5 wins of the 10
Small advice - ravagers work off line of sight, so when luring, once they lose sight(behind a wall) they'll stop. Lure them out of way as you go through dungeon for easy escape on way out.
Also, don't stop and stare at them, they'll charge😅
You put such a smile onto my face watching all those runs, and frostin' me embers. A bit of tough luck, but I'm sure you'll get better at juking the ravagers as you go along. I think they followed you quite a bit further because you were often traveling straight and not breaking their line of sight.

Tough week Bdubs! Loved seeing all your runs though. The most needed and toughest skills to learn are to (1) think of where you are placing the ravagers *for when you exit* and (2) learning to juke or escape them in tough hazard conditions. You'll get better! On a side note, I really really really appreciated the sound balance you chose in the video, especially in the clips of the first 2 runs, between dungeon sounds and your commentary. So many other hermits have turned down dungeon sounds too much. Many of us know what the sounds mean (hazard build or block, etc.) and love the ambient noises. It's disappointing when you can't hear them while watching a run. Thanks for striking a happy medium in your editing!

You had some great runs. You had some bad luck with the ravegers. But you were amazing at finding the artifacts
Tough luck Bdubs, perhaps watch how Etho manipulates the Ravagers. It is second nature to him. Once two are close together it's trouble or in the river room. The tribute to Tango was very sweet. His DO building streams were a lot of fun, so many polls and ideas. By far the best thing has been breaking Tango!😊

I freaking love watching Bdubs play Decked Out. He's hilarious. One of my absolute favorite youtubers for eons now.
Man, the "maybe I'm just bad" broke my heart. it's a hard game, you were doing pretty good, you just didn't get any early luck to start building up some hazard protection. so many walls in your way.
At this rate im gonna asked my boss a day off or two, since bdubs dropped half a day long video and now this one hour of joy.

It's nice to meet people here who understand the magnitude of Decked Out 2 being released. I have watched 3 Tango's full workday stream replays and it never felt like it was a waste of my time ☺ I still have to watch Bdubses 12 hour video, so I have a busy weekend haha!

Great job in phase 1 Bdubs! Don’t worry, you’ll get the hang of it soon. Seems like more familiarity with the dungeon’s layout and it’s hazards will help you progress next phase.
Also your luring of ravagers seems like it can be made more effective for you. You’re luring them away from you but still leaving them in doorways and in positions where they can still get easy line of sight to you. Basically if you can see them, trust they’ll see you and run up on you to sandwich you like the last run. I encourage you to lure them into a hallway, then break line of sight. They only follow for like 2-4 seconds after line of sight has been broken so you can time it reasonably well.
Also, it’s probably best to be positive you’re safe in the room just before the river of souls room just in case you have to pull a ravager from a long distance to avoid the risk of missing the river jump. Hope that makes sense.

If you want a bit of advice, but please ignore if you don't want it! Understandable. I'm not in the game trying to make the same immediate decisions. But the suggestion I have is that: when you see a ravager, move it to where you want it, and break line of sight. Instead of running around in a panic, if you take a moment, bring it around, and break line of sight and wait a moment, you might find that they're not chasing you quite as far, and you can put them where you want them!
It's both a matter of unfortunate ravager placement, and not moving them out of your way as much as you can. I absolutely love your villagers. You've got a great mindset for this game! Learning how to move the ravagers would definitely make it a bit easier for you!
Hey Bubs you can also change the golden teeth into diamond teeth when you have great success. That way you have two times as many teeth in a sense.
The fact that Bdubs doesn’t realize there’s 2 ways to the exit is driving me nuts. That killed him in at least 2 runs 😭

I think you had a lot of bad luck with the ravagers bunched up at the front several times. you gained a lot of map knowledge this first phase, and there were SO many good moments thanks to the way you run, and your general personality.

It was frustrating to see him ignore the main passage to the exit twice and get killed by ravagers, even after going through it on the way to get the artifact. Glad to see he kept going though!
I was resisting the urge to comment this too but he keeps crying impossible when he could even lead them to somewhere back

Just gotta stay calm when there's multiple ravagers around and take the measured response, there's usually enough time and/or space to work with to either juke one of them and sprint safely past it, or to lure one out and away. Getting more familiar with the layout will also help!
That ravenger bounding out of nowhere right after he deposited the key in his first run was perfect comedy.

The decked out castle alone is an impressive feat for survival minecraft, much less that it has the most complex “mini” game ive ever seen under it.

Idea: on the smile in the chubbyhole face, how about a gold block for a win and a coal block for a loss, then once it's all filled out just start over-writing them beginning again with the goal of a full gold smiley streak?
I watched this the other day with my kid the other day but the audio is even more next level on laptop no headphones.
I would absolutely love to see and hear a video talking the setup and tier lists going into this investments over the years.

Bdubs you can do this! You have to break line of sight with the ravager as soon as possible! Don't just keep running in a straight line. I really enjoy watching you play and hope you aren't to discouraged.

The max saturation you can get from a food is 21 from sus-stew made with blue orchid or dandelion.
Next best is golden carrot at 14 saturation then cooked pork/steak at 12 saturation.
That first run was awesome and hilarious!! Tough break on so many ravager deaths though.
