I bought this for my 2018 F150. Just arrived today, haven't installed it yet but very happy to find this upgrade. For my driving I wanted the 3.3L engine, which only gives you the option for the 4.2" screen. It really does suck compared to this setup.
It's hard to believe that the large screen does not come standard on such expensive vehicles. My Focus Electrics and my Cmax PHEV's all came with the large screen.

On the CD player part, what is the single yellow wire that is plugged in next to the black single wire? I assume the black is the antenna. What is the yellow
My 2018 regular cab has a snow plow button in the bezell it has three holes.. traction control… hazard and snow plow and the auto shutt off one..do I use the same one

It does on the 2019 and up, not on the 2018. F150's.
In the 2021+ F-150's, they come standard with the 8" display.

I have access to a 2018 parts truck with the 8 inch screen. Is it not possible to swap that into a 2017?

I installed the main harness to my existing 8” screen but I only get a black screen does anyone know why?
This install video is for the full package, which is a conversion kit meant to bring you from a 4" to an 8"

That's the satellite radio antenna connection.
