The Subway/Metro of Helsinki, Finland

The Helsinki Metro is the metro system in Helsinki, Finland. It is the world's most northern metro system, and the only one in Finland. The system was opened to the general public on 2 August 1982 after 27 years of planning. It is operated by Helsinki City Transport (HKL) for Helsinki Regional Transport Authority (HSL) and carries 50 million passengers per year.

saloalv That's the way the motors get their power and how the power is controlled for different speeds of the train.

saloalv Yes it is. The different frequencies and the different duty cycles that are fed to the motor make that sound in the motor as the motor runs.
