We went to stay at a hotel to enjoy Father's Day. Even though it was close to home, in Tokyo, it was the first time in a long time that we felt like we were traveling and it made us very happy! The hotel we stayed at was the Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi. It was a great hotel, kid-friendly and with lots of fun gadgets.

Moto-san is such a perfect husband. Even during his Father's Day celebration, he took the time to listen to his wife's dreams and aspirations until 3 am. Then went to work the same day. His patience and dedication to his family is such a shining example.
As a couple, they do a great job at communicating with one another. I love that about them.

Moe the first minute of the video u said that u've been in a bad mood recently and u said "no" "don't do it" a lot to Sutan and Moto.. I want you to know that it's ok to feel like that sometimes. Being a mom is not an easy job, we all have seen your videos and we saw that Sutan (like every other baby in the world) can require a lot of attentions, and that can be tiring. You don't have to apologize or feel guilty if you felt a bit frustrated lately :) that doesn't mean that u're a bad mom or a bad wife, it simply means that you're human too ❤️ 🥰

Lovely idea making a big hug last longer by "slowly" counting to ten. Kids love to count and typically hugs are brief because of their energy. Very nice Father's Day for all.
To those that think that Moe is hard on herself: If you are taking this from the subtitles, then please note that the English subtitles sound way harsher than the words she speaks. She does not say, that she wants to change herself, but something more like "I want to change gears", and rather than "I'm in a bad mood" something along the lines of "easily irritated". Unfortunately the subtitles sound harder on herself than what she speaks. She early noticed changes in her personality, she does not like, and is about to shed them, that's all.
Yes I definitely agree, in Japanese the tone of the words are a bit softer but it is difficult to translate that! I think it is because English is generally a more straightforward language than Japanese (I am a native speaker of both)

Being a German native, for whom English and Japanese is part of daily life, I know the struggle of transporting words across those cultural boundaries. In this case I just thought, the English was a little more "straightforward" than it needed to be, and wanted to point that out.😅
Exactly, and there’s always a lot of ways to interpret something in Japanese. Take “yes” for example, it’s a simple word, but just “はい” alone means several different things and not all of them are directly, “Yes”
“I’m coming/be right there.” For instance.

oh Moe, do you know that you are inspiring to many moms out there, including myself? I see how patient you are to Sutan in the videos and that inspired me to do so with my children. As a parent, we need to say 'No' to our kids at times (in my opinions), because we are not living in a perfect world, the children have to learn how to handle rejections. If they are raised in a "always yes" family, they would naturally expect others to behave the same when they are out there in the society.

This family makes me so hopefully for the future. I don’t come from a family that has good marriage examples and I have a big family so seeing a repeat of broken family’s over and over again really ruined my idea of marriage I thought no matter what you do someone is going cheat, leave or die and they kids get suck in the middle and I never wanted that, but seeing this family together makes me think I can find they right person for me and be happy and in love with my life. I know there not always perfect no couple is but there amazing partners to each other. I hope one day I find some like Moto someone caring and devoted to me and the family. Thank you Moe for sharing some many things with us we all love you and little Sutan.
I was in Tokyo in 2018. It's the safest, cleanest city I've been to. Shopping and dining was great too. When things get better I'd sure love to return to Japan and explore more. Your videos take me back to my favorite place. Thanks for sharing.

When we say "no" and "don't do that" what we usually mean is "please be careful". What matters is that when you tell your kids to not do something, it comes from a place of love and concern! I really respect you as a mom.

The name for French toast in France is "pain perdu" which translates into "lost bread". The French eat lots of bread and buy lots of it but they like it fresh and when it gets over a day old they can turn it into French toast. The egg and milk soften the hard bread.

Generally speaking, places with animals are always a hit with kids, I hope can bring my niece there one day (still have a decade to wait at least! XD)

This reminds me a lot of how I grew up spending all the time with my Mom cause my Dad used to work in another city to give me and my sister and my Mom what we needed💖 the bond I created with my Mom was so strong and will always be the strongest fisical and spiritual love I've ever known💖
Recommendation: Moe-san's hometown of Kyoto was really beautiful. I was there by the river at the eve of welcoming the Reiwa Era. A special and unforgettable moment. I hope to see you travel there with the family and maybe share some exclusive insights of Kyoto as a native.

Don't worry too much about saying "no" or "don't do it" to Sutan. Part of a mother's job to do so. Impossible to always say yes and agree. I can imagine that do not want to stifle Sutan from exploring life, but you wish to keep her safe and grow to be polite, safe and resilient.

Whenever I feel overwhelmed with the day n life I take a deep breath n sit still by water. The way your daughter gave you a hug n u said she was recharging you made me tear up with happiness. Nothing in this world heals your heart better than your Lil ones embrace. My Son is 4 and he tells me "Mommy let go of all your worries and count to 5" heheh even at such a young age he can heal my heart n gives me the strength to keep pushing forward. When I was in Tokyo, I went to see the ballet "The Nutcracker". There were a lot of mothers with their daughters, dressed up in cute dresses, I thought then that I would like to do that too, if I had a daughter someday. But they were of course all a lot older than Su-chan, maybe like 7 years old.

These two parts of a fantastic stay in a fantastic hotel with magnificent views are very beautiful indeed. The three of you all get together with daddy for a celebration was a strong loving family oriented. We love to watch Japanese stuff, be it travelling, cooking, raising kids, tourist attractions, anything about Japan and Japanese lifestyle including the countrysides. Me and my daughters and their friends all wish to tour around Japan one day on our own staying in ordinary people's homes. Its excellent for Kimono Mom to show us something different other than just cooking 👍😍 Cute beautiful loving Sutan 👱♀️ and a very supportive loving hubby 👫are the blessings even though Sutan is still small, but enjoy your time with her soon little kid growing very fast and by the time you can only recall memories from their photos. Being a full-time mum is a really hard job. It's fully normal to be frustrated or fed up! Merci! Thank you very much for sharing this with us! It's brave and honest. Regards from France where I spend "vacations" with my 7 years old son without the dad 😅 who is also working a lot!
When I was little my parents made me a "restaurant bag" basically a small bag of "special" toys that only came out when we went to restaurants. Seem to work great at having my brother and I sit patiently for hours... The toys were also small/ restaurant appropriate and as we got older they switched to drawing/coloring supplies. This definitely trained us to be very well behaved in restaurants and enabled my parents to continue their love for dining out :)
Not all the day are the same. one day you feel motivated, other day you don't feel like doing anything, sometimes you feel depressed for no reason. It is alright Moe San, these memories that you gathered, will cheer you up and help you to gather energy. It is alright to give yourself a break, and spend you time watching these wonderful videos that you shared with the rest of the world. It definitely will remind you how lucky you are to have such a precious family and spending each moments happily together ❤️
