Thanks so much for this review! I feel like everyone know about 2AM ,but never was ubicable between a lot of kpop groups because they sing ballad.And yes they never have a coreagraphy ,just movement hands ,but they know how to dance! They are really funny and back in the day they make a few parodies with girl kpop group ,dancing snd singing like 2 song they sang here! ❤

fyi: 6:38 It's IU's song called 'Nagging' that Seulong had a collaboration, that's why other members sang too high coz it's a female key!

imo I dont think jyp knew what to do with them that's y they didnt have many albums such a shame luckily when the contract renewal fell through jyp let them use the name and did write music for them and members individually wrote in their contracts that they would do group activities the song before nagging the one you called christmasy is a duet between jokwon and Gain when they were on we got married unlike other killing voice they sang solo releases

Ah, I see. I only knew of them but didn't really follow them other than on variety shows. I should've known it was Nagging though lol
JYP had an interesting idea behind 2PM and 2AM but sadly didn't really follow it through. They were in a bigger group first, then divided into a ballad unit and an up-beat unit.

Oh, they're all great ;) 2nd Gen wasn't just golden age for music but the variety shows were fantastic as well, and the music shows was a lot more fun to watch as they tend to be outside quite often.

JYP had a good idea of forming 2 brother groups with 2 different styles but he didn't know much about how to produce a successful ballad group I guess. He wasn't even able to produce good enough ballad songs for them. That's how they ended up being co-managed by JYP and bang shi hyuk who I guess was a producer at that time and then proceeded to start his own company big hit. Bang shi hyuk mostly produced their albums but they were officially still under JYP. So from the start, there were difficulties in their career but they managed to make many memorable songs that everyone would recongnize even if they are not their fan. But they totally suffered management problems that led them to just go their own way when members started to enlist in militaty. But I was so happy when in 2021 they gathered once again to release a mini album with 2 titles by JYP and bang shi hyuk. This shows that despite all the difficulties , they are still good friends and have a good relationship with both JYP and bang shi hyuk too. I hope they are successful in what ever they are doing right now and be able to enjoy their hard work. If you ever had time, you can look at their debut survival show along 2pm boys. It's called hot blood , through which oneday was formed. It's a beautiful yet heartbreaking show as it depicts how hard they fought for their position in the group, both mentally and physically. It's totally different from the survival shows you would see these days. It's on another level. Actually it was this show which made me fall in love with 2am and 2pm boys. You can find it on youtube by searching hot blood 2pm.

Oh? I actually didn't know some of that :) Thanks for the info. Ballad is a tricky genre to be popular in. If I had been JYPE, I'd release 2pm music in the summer and 2am in the fall, that would be better since ballads usually fit the fall season better than summer
