Everything thing you said is 100 accurate. Although I do live in FW, I'm not applauding this video just b/c I'm a fan. In the Rust belt, FW has done a good job of turning around many communities and the economy.

It does get cold during the winter here, but it’s not too horrible. If it does snow, there’s only a few times during the winter that we get more than four inches. The main problem during the winter is the lack of sunshine. Some of the dreary days can drag on. The summers are really nice though. Most areas of the city are pretty decent, lots of affordable housing. Lots of parks, festivals, trails to walk or bike, river access for canoes and kayaks, and even some minor league sports teams. It’s not a bad place to live, but some people do find it a little boring, especially if they come from a larger city. Downtown has really improved over the last ten years or so. There are plenty of decent restaurants and a large indoor mall, also some museums and a zoo to check out.

Did several videos on Ft. Wayne on my channel including the street tours. Will be headed there in July again to visit a friend. Been there 3 times already. Ft. Wayne is a smaller town but it is one the more affordable cities in the midwest. There are rough areas in Ft. Wayne just as you would have in any urban city. Crime is not that big of an issue in Ft. Wayne as it would be in Indianapolis or Chicago where I'm from. The best areas to live in Ft. Wayne would probably be areas surrounding Northwest Ft. Wayne or the southwest area. Depending on your preference. Hunterstown and Garrett up north are very rural and countrylike.

My kind of city. Not too big, low cost of living, relatively low crime for a city that big, good amenities. I don't like snow, then again I don't like hot weather either. I guess you got to pick the side(hot vs. cold) that you are more willing to deal with when it comes to weather. It seems like this city has more wind than average, too.
