Today we take a tour of a BEAUTIFUL cabin inside and out located in Skykomish WA. This cabins exterior has a unique shape to it with the point and floor to ceiling windows. The interior has crazy natural light from the windows and is perfectly cozy. Definitely taking notes for my future home. Absolutely loved it and highly suggest coming here. Super nice host as well!

Native Western Washingtonians emphasize the second syllable in sky-KO-mish, sno-HOM-ish, stilla-GUAM-ish, etc…
The trees you tried hugging are cedars…Western red cedars….Natives used to craft many items. including towels from the long strips. And its spelled and pronounced “Skykomish” (long O)…..

Just beautiful, I am trying to imagine this home built with shipping containers if it were possible. Savanah is a true darling, I remember doing that same dance she did at 7 months and I met my daughter 26 years ago! Happiest day of my life!

Cedar has verticle fiberous bark with fan like flat needles paddles. The pine has long needles and longer needles as you go east over mtns. Douglous fir has thick bulky somewhat knobby bark so that you can “shake hands with Doug”

I don’t think I saw fire protection around the wood stove. I watched the video as I was doing things so maybe you said that part of reno is yet to come. I also wonder the stability of the glass with bears that want to relieve you of your groceries. Looks so beautiful. I think if I came to Washington, I would never leave. My hometown is in the top ten rainiest places in the country so I think Washington weather would fit just right. I live at latitude 42.0 degrees, pretty similar.

The "Big Tree" is actually two trees.

Might they be Redwoods? ...as in "from the Redwood forests to the gulf stream waters, this land was made for you and me!"
And...that's not one tree, or two trees, IT'S A PAIR OF PANTS STUCK IN THE GROUND AT THE WAIST. I have several pair on my grounds and it makes me smile each glance after having realized. 😊
They are not Redwoods. This is in Washington state.
Western red cedars decent size, but they get much bigger. It's pretty common for the mainstem to split in to two or more stems.

Very cool place, quiet and very calming all the spaces well utilized. Love the windows in every room makes it feel so open to look outside. Congratulations Levi and Savanah on the baby!!!

So... any time I see security bars on doors or windows... It lets me know the owner of this Place was robbed at some point. Nice place and perfect scenery... but he needs glass security doors. Design wise... it would help people like me feel safe.
Thinking it might be for bear protection. I would feel comfortable knowing a grizzly is not going to bust in.

Love this mid-century cabin style !!! Looks peaceful, but are you close to a town to shop for food & gifts? Because I am a fan of mid-century furniture, I would comment to the owners to replace country style dinning set with something more modern, other than that place was done perfectly! 🥰

Cool cabin… but why do they build a huge deck and then put no furniture on it? You could have a comfy couch, rocking chairs or even a nice swing? They could do so much more..

Your video editing is really bad and you are not walking through tours. Too many cuts and there is no connectivity.
Those are cedars, not doug fir. (WA State native, now living in CA).
Those trees are Green Giant Arborvitae. They are my favorite of all Evergreens & all over Western Washington.
