Dude! Send me your T-shirt! Now! That is literally freaking the perfect thing as a fashion designer should wear in my native plant garden during these garden parties that I have LOL
It’s not always. There are exceptions, but as a general guide its often adjacent to the factory code. Even if it’s not, its helpful to be able to eliminate one of the number sets on the tag.
@LootFam thank you for the reply, after a little research I did notice the 3's were often youth related, but I found a pair of deadstock with the big 384 on the tag (like the 584 had on the back pocket) but they're men's size 34x36.
Hi🙂 You seem to be the guy to ask. Is there anyway you can help me identify a pair of Levi's 646 light brown corduroy I purchased. No patch on back, no usual stitching around pockets. White label on side of pocket. Would these be genuine? ✌️
Hey! There are a few rare instances where a three digit date code was used prior to 1981 and there are a few instances where a generic zipper was used after 1980. If you'd like you can send photos to lootfam1@gmail.com and I can help sort it out! thanks!
Hey i have a oair of 685 bell bottoms with the code p44 which i think means it was made in Pakistan. However i can't find any info of these jeans anywhere do u know why or are these jeans not real?
Bell bottoms for guys actually did make a very brief appearance 20 years ago around 2003/2004. Levi's came out with the 563 model, which was a flare jean for guys. Abercrombie also made a flare leg jean for guys in 2003. Apparently the style just didn't catch on at the time.
They do, check out Madcap England, they not only make bell bottoms but they actually make them in England, I have 6 or 7 pairs in denim and a pair of corduroy

Haha! It’s one of my favorites. But I could be convinced! I have seen others out there.
Gonna try an get me a pair👖sometime...🤘🏼💯✔️
awesome video as always, very informative! i’ve been loving vintage levis bell bottoms lately and picking up a few pairs
Very nice!
Good point on referencing the care tag code with button stamp to make sense of all the numbers. Is the date code always next to factory code?

Just sent you an email with lots of pics! I feel like you live in my head this month! Thank you for all of these great videos, Josh!
Very nice video, you forgot to mention the belt loops of a 646,it has 7 than the usual 5😉👍👍👍
cool history!
I can't find any info on Levis orange tag jeans with a boyscout patch on the back pocket. Are they authentic Levi's? Thanks so much for any info!
Hmm, if you wanna you can send me some photos to lootfam1@gmail.com ill take a look. Thanks!
Hey! Figured you'd be the one to ask... I know the 684's have the variations like the 784 and the 584, but what's your knowledge on the 384's?
3 often denoted a youth size. Its most likely a youth size in this case

Do you think I could send some photos your way? They have me in cahoots, I've just never seen them before.
What’s are the Levi’s 784 I found a pair!
That would be the student size! Awesome!

Sure! Send some photos to lootfam1@gmail.com
i got an 646 that has 520 stamp and date code that is 6 2 520 so i assume it's 1982 but the zipper is talon so i'm a bit confused

So if the date code on my jeans says 10 9 , does that mean the pants are from 89 or 79? It also has the Levi’s zipper
hey do you know anything about the levi 663 orange tab bell bottoms??
I believe, and i may need to double check myself, but i think thats a non denim bell bottom. Or maybe a stretch blend?
High waisted bellbottoms under $100 are impossible to find now

Excellent content 👌 thank you
How rare are 584’s?
The 90s big bell version is pretty rare. There is a modern flare called the 584 that isn’t near as rare.
I bought a "new with tags" pair of 584's on ebay for $75 around 20 years ago, and they always looked to have been from the early 80's to me...
Ahh I love bell bottoms Ty bro
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Why don’t they make men’s bell bottoms anymore????!!
They kind of do. The Levi’s 517 and 527. Bootcut and slim boot cut.

Considering everything is gay now it is weird

@@Bstonz85I think bell bottoms have a more pronounced flare to them than the 517 if I'm not mistaken.
