It's tough to imagine the challenges folks in the South are going through. Amen to keeping them in our thoughts and prayers!!! Hope making more room at home keeps things moving once harvest begins again.

I am in south Georgia,,,, we got hit hard. Started out Friday morning with 99% of the county without electricity and now the linemen have it down to 60%. While we didn’t experience the flooding we got the wind. The linemen are the unsung hero’s.

Hello Reese from central South Carolina. Besides the loss of power, we sustained downed trees and shed damage. Unfortunately, the storm and the Congaree River flooding appears to have wiped out my entire corn crop. We had setbacks that caused us to plant late and were about 2 weeks from combining corn when the hurricane came through. But after watching a video that a resident of Lake Lure took of the absolute carnage and destruction from Lake Lure to Chimney Rock North Carolina, I feel blessed to only lose my entire corn crop. That area of N.C. Is unrecognizable now 😢

It’s good that you have all the auxiliary bins. Maybe in a few years you add more new storage at David’s.

I wonder how they ever became a highly successful multi generational farm without you telling what they need to do.

    Silly question
I understand running out of space it’s kinda a good problem also understand using free gravity to empty bins but at what point does your cost of “in and out” and transporting a second time make it to expensive? We have no storage so we haul everything to a terminal at harvest I guess I’m curious do u assume an in/out fee per bushel per time through your facilities and a per bushel cost to haul? Also on landlord shares do you charge them storage and transportation on crop shares or throw that in as a perk
    Just curious
