I work in a hospital. I really hate to say that I don’t like my job. The only reason that I am even considering staying at the hospital is because I am finishing a certificate for another position. Going to work is d raining raining. The environment is very toxic and chaotic.
My lifestyle goal was to work remotely in my profession so I could travel/spend time with family. I found the role but the hours have been so long that it has me questioning everything.
I go from a STRESSFUL JOB IN HEALTHCARE walking on eggshells ALL day,to a " home" where I walk on more eggshells. I usually don't do anything on the weekends but TRY to REST mentally emotionally for the next week," fun & relaxing " for ME left years ago. My " partner " tells its " just words,ignore it, you gotta stronger than that".... 😒
Thank you so much for this video.. I had a mental breakdown right before this bcos I wanna resign so bad but everyone around me pressuring me to find a job before I leave.. I just want to take a break for few months and spend the time to study and find other jobs.. Life is so stressful with the cost of living.
I totally agree that the best thing to do before moving to another job is to really figure out what YOU want not what others want for you. Wishing you the best in what ever is next 🙏🏾
I currently have two jobs. I recently relocated to work in the government sector. I realize I gave up a lot of control i.e a private clientele/flexible schedule, my second job allows me to do this. I come and go as I please I find that's what keeps me happy. Plus, I make more money in less time.

Thank you so much for the sweet compliments. A professional development plan requires 3 things - timeline, goals & strategy. I would recommend creating a 1 year plan, 5 year plan & 10 year plan with goals & strategy for each!
My dream job was to be a paralegal. And I gave up on that dream. Looking at it now I should’ve just pushed through and finished. As a kid, I knew that I would work in the legal field. My problem was always seeking approval from people. I’m finishing my teaching certificate so I can get out of the hospital. Even though I am working towards being a paralegal , I still need to pay my bills. I just need a job that I enjoy while I’m finishing school.
It's never too late to make a career pivot and go after your dreams. Before you make any long term career decisions - sit down with yourself and figure out what YOU want.

I don't want to be a mentally absent mother. I don't want a boss and 3 weeks of vacation time running my life. And I want a profitable business in an area of my liking by age 40, that is in less than 5 years, so that I can visit my family 4,500 miles away whenever I like or whenever I'm needed.
Feeling "okay" about your job is certainly better than hating it - so shout out to that! In order to decide if you should go to masters school - you should first decide if being a counselor is truly what you want and then determine the pros & cons of grad school by talking to other people / research and do research on alternatives.
Right now..I feel like I want to live in a cabin in the woods and not work at all lol..

Me too...I'm just 5months and I know I don't like it as day goes by....... But the boss is very nice. But I'm not happy.
