Tsar Nicholas did indeed have a dragon tattoo, he had a massive dragon tattoo on his right arm which encompassed his forearm, it reportedly took about 7 hours to complete and Tsar Nicholas was proud of it and loved showing it off.

And also a Japanese policeman Tsuda Sanzo did slice Nicholas II's head in an assassination attempt. The wound left a massive scar but wasn't deep enough to be life threatening. Nicholas II's cousin, Prince George of Greece and Denmark was there with him, and he parried a second attack from Tsuda, saving Nicholas II's life. Tsuda was captured and sentenced to life imprisonment by the Japanese government. The assassination attempt is known as the Otsu Incident.

It's worth checking out Father Gapon's petition. They were asking for some pretty standard stuff, as you can imagine (teach the middle and lower class, give us a minimum wage, set up a better tax system so that we aren't exploited), but some were more tragic, like 'please make our bosses fix the factory roofs so we stop getting sick and dying from the rain and snow' and 'please make it so we only have to work 8 hours at a time and our bosses can't just demand that we work overtime'

By the way the Czar actually did have a big dragon tattoo on his arm. I think Franz Ferdinand, George V, as well as Frederik IX of Denmark had some as well. It's long rumored that Teddy Roosevelt had a chest piece, but the evidence is questionable. It was actually trendy for nobles, royalty, and the rich to get tattoos when they traveled to distant lands during the late 19th and very early 20th century. Many world leaders probably had ink that we don't know about too.

thats actually reall cool and kind a sign of respect that even in a puritcal society that world leaders still found so many other cultures tattos as so intresting it was worth getting one even as a country leader which was a risk to them

Fun fact-WW1 in general is also known as a big family war.Tsar Nicholas was the cousin of king George 5 of UK and the GermannKaiser. In fact both of them looked very similar.Queen Victoria was known as the Grandmother of Europe as nearly every European royalty had British connection and vice versa.Infact the present British monarch has German ancestry(the house was originally called the House of Hannover (a place in Germany). But during the war the name was changed to a much British sounding Windsor.

I think the lack of negativity is maybe because it frames itself as Oversimplified, like the French Revolution had a few hundred missed bits that I honestly though make the story more compelling or teaches you more about how the world looks today; they missed Benedict Arnolds most important and interesting battle that could’ve lost the war for the US but spent a ton of time on his narrative as a bit. Basically there’s always more out there, if anyone reading this wants to know more about Revolutions I highly recommend the Revolutions podcast, it tells the story of revolutions as a continuous narrative split into chapters cause they all affected each other. Glorius, American, French and the Latin American (mostly Gran Columbian) are definitely a solid start and contained a bunch I didn’t know as a history student.

The great war is referred to as the first world war. But the 7 year war between France and Britain in North America during the 1700s is the actual first world war.

@@HypeTrain-FollowYeah, BUT, author marked some persons as good or bad in video.
I mean key figures like Lenin or Stalin always showed as evil genius, its hurts my filings a litle bit.
It can be point of view - I noticed many videos about Russians historical leaders too politicized, usually they showed as not a positive guys.
