if i worked for Melody Maker or New Musical Express i'd probably say "It's like someone made a cake, the biscuity base of which was made from Joy Division, with some Cure cream in the middle, and some Smiths and Psychedlic Furs sprinkles all topped off with some Gary Numanesque keyboard playing." . This third album was good although The New Life is my favorite of them.
I do not have any to reproach them.
Their 3 albums have been spotless in a different way.
Easily any post-punk band could sign this album. For example The Horrors.
