    Great performance.
    It's quite frustrating how people go on about there being no good music, no punk, no rock, etc. And then when a band who have been moderately well-known for several years play a show at the most mainstream possible festival, everyone's like 'oh my god, this is amazing, how have I never heard of these guys!'. It makes me wonder where you are looking for your music. We're in a golden age, you just have to spend 10 minutes on google to find incredible music in whatever subgenre you like.

    • @thegrinderman1090
      @thegrinderman1090 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@niallrg3708 That's fair, sometimes music does find you. I don't think I've said anything harsh, though.
      It's perfectly fine to be out of the loop on current artists, and it's perfectly fine to be critical of current music. But to do both at the same time is just pure hypocrisy and/or ignorance.
      It would be like ordering a margarita pizza from Pizza Hut every night, and complaining how pizza sucks nowadays, and that food sucks in general. Then when anyone says there's other food out there, going "I've tried it all - pepperoni, farmhouse, Hawaiian - it all sucks!". No... I mean order from somewhere else. Even if for some strange reason it needs to be pizza, there's a million other pizza places, many of them doing innovative stuff.

      Actually there is some psychological research done, and the conclusion is that on average, you like something more, if you recognize it.
      People tend to stick to the ingredients that they know, hence a preference for a specific cuisine, alcohol type or beer type. That also applies to music genres. It also makes us like some song more, if we listened to it a few times already 🙂
