Patches on the manufacturing level is way cheaper than your being charged. Most MCs go to small time operations & these places pay higher prices for their supplies... If you are a "Walmart" of the printing industry, you can produce them super cheap... And to start a copyright infringement takes time & lots of resources... By the time you file the paperwork in court, they've already shut down the company & opened under another name... My previous employer spent $100,000 to get a judgement in court & then the company owner (based in Detroit) didn't pay the court ordered costs... They filed another non-pay in the courts & then still nothing...5 yrs & $250,000 in lawyers fees later & he's still waiting for 1 check to come, for ANY amount... Most people give up by then.... The only way a MC can fight these US-based bootleggers is, pull up 100 deep & "talk" to the owner/managers...

Dope video Sose. Im a NYC based patent and trademark attorney. Redrum Motorcycle Club filed a trademark application in March 2024 and although it hasn't reached full registration yet (the USPTO is crazy slow) they already have trademark rights. I hope they get their people to send cease and desist letters to these vest infringers and get these fake vests pulled off the internet. They are definitely within their rights to do so. The Redrum MC website itself says “We are not a 1% motorcycle club and we do not claim any territory as our own. Think about that when you listen to this video.
They might not claim territory, but they almost certainly claim their own colors for members only. Someone wearing this might get the religious family man who turned his life around, or they might get the ex-outlaw or veteran having a bad day who isn't in the mood for giving a patient explanation. More importantly it isn't even just the club that would have a problem with this, it's any native Hawaiian. Kanaka Maoli on the vest means "native Hawaiian." If someone without a serious connection to the island wears that in the wrong neighborhood they should have some real good answers to some real pointed questions.
BLS got a gig shut down in Manchester uk. Fans queuing for the gig were getting intimidation and police were present advising people to turn tshirts inside out. As a precaution the gig was cancelled. Also the band NoFx were ran out of scotland(and never returned) by an mc, after a roadie dropped a club member who tried to stab him with a screwdriver. They were escorted by police and told if they returned the police could not guarantee their safety.
That's messed up; somebody trying to 'shank' somebody and the intended victim turned the tables. Although I strongly suspect there's more to this story. #ghostin😢
I'm from Maryland and I saw a guy wearing a sons of Anarchy vest and saw a few guys from a real club in MD rip his vest off and tell him never to do it again it could have been a lot worse never wear colors if you don't truly belong to that club could be hazardous to your health !!
Sose, you the man. Ive been following your channel for over a year and i have to say, the information you share, and the advice you give, is spot on. My opinion has formed from my 43 years riding in the eastern and western U.S. Well done friend.
I've been a hang around for 30+ years in North Georgia. I had a cut I wore with no back patches and was told at the rally to take it off or take a P . I'd been loyal to long without the patches. I'm a American Legion Rider now
Something doesn't sound right, details missing. Are you saying that the MC that you were hanging around told you to take the vest off or some other MC at a Rally told you to take it off?? Also with no colors on the back why would they tell you to take your vest off??
Years ago I ordered a Navy Hospital Corpsman patch to honor my time in service on my cut. When it arrived the label on the back read MADE IN CHINA. I threw it in the trash.
Hey SOSE Your description of what can happen when crowds of people get out of control and act certain ways... Is called MOB MENTALITY which is when people get mentally and emotionally caught up in the moment and do things to others, that they would never think about, or consider doing to another person, under normal daily circumstances!!! My Mother actually explained this very real phenomenon to me when I was about 12 or 14 years old and was watching the News on TV about a huge riot taking place somewhere in the US. Just felt like sharing this fact of human nature, and what actually lies hidden, deep within our subconscious. I've always been fascinated with human nature and the complexities of human psychology. Just Sayin'🤬
I'm a huge fan of BLACK LABEL and would be proud to wear a vest like "BUT" it's way to close to an MC cut an I respect that culture to much to do that, another great vid 💯
if you go and buy a Hells Patch or Hells Angels rocker and wear that, if one of them real members see that they are going to ask who do you think you are. And They may be Nice about it and just rip this off and with a warning, or they may take it off you and drag you down the street on a chain. Either way don't do it, first off lets leave aside the violent consequences, what your doing is disrespecting a club and it's members, why would you want to do that? If you want to wear that patch, then do it the right way, introduce yourself, become a hang around and if they welcome it, and hope to be a prospect and pay your dues and earn membership like the rest of them did.. There is no shortcuts, it's like law enforcement, if you go out wearing a police uniform and badge and your not a real member what happens to you? Right there is consequences, it's the same thing you can't just wear a membership colors when your not a real member, it's so disrespectful and stupid...
I think most of the general public should know what these patches represent. They may not know the meaning of each patch but it should be common knowledge not to wear bought colors. As many biker movies have been made since the sixties to present, everyone should know enough about the culture to know better.

I've worn Black Label, Motorhead in a 3 piece, and Iggy Pop's Death Shall Triumph vest in with the big brothers before wearing an mc kutte. When I earned my real mc patch I gave the Motorhead three piece jacket to my guitar player's old lady, donated the Black Label Society vest to a local music school to hopefully inspire new generations and kept the Iggy Pop Death Shall Triumph one, because I reckon it's the closest I'll ever get to Iggy. If you're going to wear this stuff, you better have a solid grasp and understanding of why and good communication skills in case you're stopped and questioned. I wouldn't recommend anyone wear an MC patch they didn't earn, from any club, much less a 1% club.
Several years back BLS played here in Oklahoma City and I went to the show, I had bought a set of BLS Colors from their official website. I happened to know some AOA members back then and asked if it was a good idea to wear my BLS vest to the show. I was told to pack my vest in my saddle bag until I get to the show and then put it on....I did and had no problems at all, BTW AOA was at the show too with no issues in fact we all had a great time.
Back in the early days of Black Label Society’s popularity they started selling the MC style vests. In FL you could get stomped for wearing one on a bike or just walking down the street. Same as the goofy sons of anarchy patches, I have seen a couple people get jacked up with those vests on at Bike Week back when the tv show was a hitb
Sose thanks man I didn’t know dude and seen him on tv and I didn’t know about him personally thought he was just an actor. You vouch for him and hell I’m glad we got some good people on our side
So in Texas where I’m at, that 13 diamond is only topped by a 1% diamond and it’s very very easy to validate your status as someone who earned those patches. I’m aware Mamoas vest says 13 1/2 on his diamond but the point remains the same. Either way if you didn’t earn it don’t put it on

BLS is 100% safe to wear. I have numerous 1% friends although I never took that route. We have all worn black label society sweaters or jackets. No issues whatsoever
I used to have a black label vest. Never wore it while riding though. A few guys in diamond clubs and support clubs said they didn’t personally care cause they know it’s not a MC but they knew other guys who did.
i remember in my uncle's shop there were clubs from everywhere in his shop. when he died clubs came from every corner for his funeral. it was the first time they all rode together.
Black label society has it stated clearly on BLS website not to wear the colours when riding a bike. It’s a rock n roll band and many clubs understand this and love and support them themselves

This is for the US only right? i know we have HA where im from and Satudarah. would other patches mather then? im not ooking to rock it just interested.
Ever see NYDM or NY Death Militia? Not sure if you ever seen these guys in and around NYC. I always see them at concerts in this area. I thought it was in the spirit of Black Label Society but, they seem like an actual club but they are not an MC as far I know. A bunch of years ago, I was talking to one of them in a bar and he said they get a lot of crap from local MCs.
It's quite simple. If you didn't earn the patch, don't wear it people. Always check in with a council or governing body if what you're wearing is allowed
I only know because my wife wanted to get into embroidery and I bought her... Quite a bit of equipment. Brother PR-655 and similar/newer embroidery machines make light work of making patches. In fact, ordering a one off, requires a lot of work to convert to tool path, but if you're doing this in large quantities, the cost of digitizing becomes negligible
Sos, $90 for a vest like that out of China isn't unheard of. I worked in the sporting goods industry for 30 years. A brand we sold against Nike back in the early 2000's (Velocity Sports) offered a full basketball uniform with no limit on logos, team name, player name and numbers front and back, with a matching short (same logo deal there) all in 2 color tackle twill (sew on cloth lettering) for a dealer cost of $39 for the entire uniform. The Chinese are and have been doing anything and everything to weaken our economy. Sad what levels Americans will stoop to using Chinese labor just to make a buck.
I would hope that if I ever created a vest that didn't infringe on anyone -I'd be safe. I hope it's still a free country I would never wear colors that looked like another club- that's trouble.
As a UK listner who spent some time "hanging around" [not a "hang-around" mind you!] with the Birmingham/Midlands charter of the Outlaws MC - I did often have my "beach bag" from BLS (you know what I mean, a drawstring rucksack, which as sold, had a beach towel in it) on my back as I rode around and it was all cool. I would never wear a fully patched cut-off though. I love BLS & Zack Wylde - seen them live a handfull of times and happy to support them by buying merchandise; but I would never try to disrespect the culture they're "claiming" by wearing their patches on a a cutt-off! Those guys from Outlaws were cool to let us hang around their business, but I very quickly learned (from overhearing some conservations I will always swear I never heard [my hearing isn't so good these days, you know?]...) I was absolutely never going to get any deeper into that club!
I had a Friend who rode with the "Highrollers MC", back in the 70's. 40+ years later I walked into work one night, and there was a Box of "Highrollers MC" paraphernalia lying in the Dispatch Window, with a message to buy what you want. I picked up that entire Box and all the marked content, and headed out the Door. The Dispacther tells me "hey! I'm selling that stuff". I asked where they got it. She told me from a guy who had lived with her and had passed away. I told her it was Club property and I was going to return it to the Club, out of respect. You don't have a right to sell this stuff and l left. I got in touch with the Club through their website, and made the arrangements to return it. They wanted to know if I was in a Club or a Rider. I told them no, I was just knew one of their Members long ago, and knew a little bit about Clubs and Culture and knew this was the right thing to do. When I took it to the place they told me to go, the Owner of the place told me stop by anytime I want, for a Burger on the House. I have never claimed that Burger. Be safe, and thanks for the Videos.

Our club is working on a new "thing" that they can´t copy, and if we catch some dude with fake coulors in Thailand,,, we and many of the other 1%er clubs got thai cops in our ranks, The national prez of Bandidos a few years back is a high ranking s.w.a.t Police officer. So they were the first 1%er club that were patch on by the eroupean Bandidos they have absolut power and can put in a raid at a 81 club house just so they don´t get to big. for u american !5ers it may sound crazy, but most of the thai cops are so curropted and been working with the maffia for many years, so Bmc that have like 14 chapters in Thailand never gets raided...and we don´t get into wars with clubs that in Us who must kill a meber of a club they are in war with, if we start a bike war here, all foreigners members that have drugs in their system, members who have unlicend guns etc must do hard time and then they get kicked out and can never get in to thailand again the legal way! that+s why we got Mongols, Outlaws, 81, Rebels, Bandidos here but no war!!and u can fly uor coluors all over thailand bec these clubs are all over thailand ,so no Club can claim they own a town or province!!! so if u are in a 1% club in the states that have chapters over here just contact them and u can fly ure west as much a u want!!

I do morale patches (like you see on plate carriers, packs, etc). Each one of these patches costs 5 to $10 minimum. And thats for patches that are 3 to 4 inches. A back size patch is going to be more like 20 to $50 depending amount of colors, type of thread, and of course overall size. So yeah just the patches alone would be over $80 if they were American made.
I have a slipknot shirt that looks like a 3 part patch and has Iowa on the bottom rocker I’ll never wear that thing around motorcycles cuz I don’t need no smoke I love the mc culture and was around it all my life I just know what 3 part patch means

As BOTH someone who is a Military Veteran AND a member of the CVMA, i can say that NO ONE should be wearing a club/organization's colors, vest, patches or ANYTHING that they are NOT a member of! Someone PRETENDING to be in a club is JUST AS BAD as someone PRETENDING they were in the military. And if i see anyone doing EITHER, i WILL say something about it.

Hey SOSE
Your description of what can happen when crowds of people get out of control and act certain ways...
I've always been fascinated with human nature and the complexities of human psychology.

if you go and buy a Hells Patch or Hells Angels rocker and wear that, if one of them real members see that they are going to ask who do you think you are.
Rockland County NY in the house. I always love your info. Thanks for the biker info. It's important!
I think most of the general public should know what these patches represent. They may not know the meaning of each patch but it should be common knowledge not to wear bought colors.

I only know because my wife wanted to get into embroidery and I bought her... Quite a bit of equipment. Brother PR-655 and similar/newer embroidery machines make light work of making patches. Thank you for the heads up..
I hope it's still a free country
I would never wear colors that looked like another club- that's trouble.

So, you stole things that didn't belong to you to play suck up for some brownie points and didn't even get the measly burger?

Love the content bro. I have a few boys patched up and I love the clubs man I just don’t see the lifestyle for my kids you know what I mean?
I do morale patches (like you see on plate carriers, packs, etc). Each one of these patches costs 5 to $10 minimum. And thats for patches that are 3 to 4 inches. A back size patch is going to be more like 20 to $50 depending amount of colors, type of thread, and of course overall size. So yeah just the patches alone would be over $80 if they were American made.
Patches are cheap when done at volume.. if you order at least 300 patches you can get them down to few dollars.
