I'm watching this on my Poco f5 and I have been loving it, I waited 5 years for a new phone and my old phone was a Asus selfie 4 lite and I felt like I lived my life as a joke when comparing the phones.

watching this as I wait for my Poco F5 to arrive tomorrow. I am upgrading from my LG G8 ThinQ which I loved. The LG G8 is still working fine and honestly the only issue with it is the battery doesn't last me a full day anymore. I could have waited even longer before switching but this Poco F5 was the right amount of bang for the buck so I ordered it. I hope it is as good as advertised. I have used a chinese brand before, Realme 6i, and I was very pleased with it. This will be my first Xiaomi/Poco. I can't wait.
I've been waiting for 5 years for a good new phone. My current Poco F1 is still going very strong, but it's getting dated without an NFC (and a broken headphone jack).
It's so good looking. Display is great, Performance is great (MOST important thing for me buying a phone), battery life is great, Cameras are Ok ( Least important thing for me buying a phone) and overall it's an awesome package for the price. Personally I rate it 9.5 out of 10.
Its still the same thing. Software is garbage. They cant fix the notifications problems for years now. Dont get me wrong, price/performance is top but sw is not soo good.

I have both F3 and F5 and personally I appreciate the lighter weight of the Poco F5 more, there simply wasn't any benefit for me from that glass back, the phone was in a case anyway and there is no wireless charging either. And it's not like it would improve structural stability either as both phones survive heavy bending.

bruh we have the same phone lineup, finally bought this phone at 8 sept after using the Mi A2 since Dec 2018 (poor jasmine needed a well deserved rest). all i can say is this phone very worth the price if you're looking for productivity (except for the camera) since it can do multiple tasks without a slight lag.

What about the face sensor? In poco F3 it was really awful. The Screen was not blocked properly during a call. It would be also nice to hear about call quality including loud speaker.
@@nniivekkappo7544 You can google it but I don't think it fixes anything and affects other things, it also resets your app permissions so you have to redo it. Better to turn off battery saver for individual apps, set them to no restriction, let them autostart and check your push notification settings. Oh and for Gmail turn on sync and check your labels to tick allow notification for every email. No missed notifications that way.
Which breaks other things in MIUI I believe? MIUI just needs scrapping, who wants 15 minute+ delayed notifications with everything not set to optimised for that app. MIUI is a joke.

My experience after using a Poco F4 for a year and moving to a F5 (My sister needed a phone with bigger storage so I gave the F4 to her): The bad: -Speaker quality went down significantly. Sound clarity on the F4 was beautiful. The F5 has the volume fro. The F4 but clarity is very poor. -Light detection ok the F5 to adjust brightness of the screen automatically is extremely bad. The F4 was pretty good at this. -They decided to remove 4K 60fps recording and dual video mode (the one where you could record with both cameras at the same time). The good: -It now has 3.5mm sound jack. -Fingerprint sensor is waaaaaaaay better now. -The new SoC is extremely fast. -Camera quality was improved and now you have X10 zoom for pictures (still x6 for videos). -Battery life was improved. -F5 seems to heat up less than F4.
Unfortunate to hear about light detection since that can be quite annoying. Usually it's software related so maybe they'll fix it. My LG was awful on past Android versions but was fixed on Android 10.
You can find super wallpaper though!! Thought same for my Mi11! But Goto background >human icon (personal) > background (again) and then > super wallpaper!

I can afford the pro but i went for the non . Only because of the audio jack I Stan it that the poco f5 breaks the trend on flagship phones where they remove audio jacks. Gaming phones should always have audio jack.
This is not my first choice but saw a ridiculous bargain and ordered it right a way after confirming the local Xiaomi warranty and brand new status with the seller.

Poco 5 since SD 7 gen 1 is second to SD 8 gen 2 in terms of performance. The pro version back camera is ugly as hell so choose the standard one with 12gb ram and 256 gb storage
Tried to replace my old Samsung M51 by Poco F5... nope. Returned back after just one day Ok, it's fasy. VERY FAST. It also has bright display and very fast fingerprint scanner, but it's all. Software is garbage in comparison to OneUI (for me!). Camera... in theory should be better, but old M51 even without OIS still makes better photos (again, software?). POCO/Xiaomi lose value very ce fast, so I think it will be good option after 2-3 months

And they continue to be better to not let it happen again, which is great for a company owning up to its mistake. As for MIUI, it has gotten better over the past few years. If you're going to compare it with other UIs like Infinix and Tecno, MIUI is a lot more polished.
I was using Redmi K20 Pro for past 4 years... Fed up with the MIUI...😢😢 I LIKED POCO F5❤ but The UI is 🤢🤮🤧 now using OnePlus Nord CE 3 with oxygen OS... Great UI with great battery life..

Get the s21 ultra. Still a solid phone. Get the f5 only if you’re willing to use an adapter for the jack.

As for MIUI, it has gotten better over the past few years. If you're going to compare it with other UIs like Infinix and Tecno, MIUI is a lot more polished.

Isn't a plastic back better if it's less weight? EVERYONE EVER uses their own phone cover so glass is so pointless. And slippery.
Well heat dissipation (to your hands/cooler) is faster than with plastic.
