#84 KUBOTA: LOADER REMOVAL AND BLOWER INSTALL

- It's that time of the year. Actually it's past that time to get the loader stored and the snowblower installed on the Kubota B2650HSDC. Trying to store differently this year for easier access and removal.

For those of you that were following the chute deflector question about running off the 3rd function. I reached out the the man himself Ry-Guy Lynch @ryanlynch2259 and it can be done. This is what he said however: You could run it off the third function valve. I don’t believe there are kits available. So for a set up guy it would be a pain in the but .. but doable,, a couple of hydraulic lines,, fittings.. probably a couple of flow restrictors …. You could do it

That's quite the task to mount your blower. You're absolutely right when you do something once a year it's easy to forget all the little steps. Have a good one!

I went down in my woods to split some firewood.
Yesterday, I worked in a t shirt. Today, I was in coveralls. Started snowing hard while I was down there.
Finally decided to call it a day.
It was almost 50 here today. Crazy weather. 🤪
first snowblower
I feel your pain. Storage room is something that is a premium around here. I do not want my equipment sitting outside. Any of my equipment.
Right now, both of my rotary mowers ( brush hogs) are sitting outside.
One is going to the welding shop to get some fabrication done to it.
The other just is low man on the totem pole and was the only one left without a chair when the music quit playing.
Same here Gary. Can't stand having my equipment outside even though I know it really shouldn't hurt it if you store it correctly
I put all my implements on pallets with casters, sure saves my back. For you subframe buy one of those cheap harbor freight wooden Dollie’s it’s the perfect size and will roll right under your tractor for simple mount/dismount. My LX is set up the same way with the diverter even though I have a third function as well. I too told the dealer what I wanted and they set it up like yours. Not a huge deal but I’d rather use the buttons than the toggle. Thanks for the video
Good to know about your setup. Must be a reason other than I figure that just didn't want to run lines. Yes, I need to invest in some dollies. I got the tractor because I was breaking my back and here I am grunting the equipment around. 🤦

One suggestion for lining up the pto shaft is to use a paint marker and mark both sides before pulling it apart so you don't have to play the USB game of flipping it 10 times😂.
I have a LX3310 w/front blower and my chute deflector runs off the third function. I'll email you some pictures later in the week. I don't see any reason why you need the electrical component.

Great job on the install Dave, prob the one thing I miss the least with my new set up. Hopefully you get they snow they are calling for and lots of seat time :)
Absolutely. It tough giving up that loader for the subframe. Did you keep your front mount?
No I didn’t have the space to keep it sadly. Was a hard choice to get ride of it.

I feel like I've watched you do this before but never quite realized how different the snowblower connecting mechanisms are between what you and I have. On mine there are pins that I can see from the cab and pick up the snowblower by some hooks (or ears for lack of a better term).
As for the 3rd function I've been wondering the same thing but I bet from a manufacturer/dealer support perspective maybe not everyone gets a 3rd function and it's probably cheaper to only build/support one snowblower setup that will run on your tractor whether or not you have the 3rd function.

I know Luc and I also need your bracket style hydraulic hose holders you have. Those pigtails are getting difficult to deal with.
Maybe ask Ryan Lynch about the deverter he works for Norfolk power equipment and does a lot of assemblies on new Kubotas .

Well done Dave! And people ask me why I still have a rear blower...it is 1000x easier to setup that's for sure! Man last time I took off my FEL I disconnected my lines forgetting I still had to curl the bucket to get it off the tractor also forgetting to depressurize the system oh what a pain!!! How do you find snow/ice traction with those tires? Is most of your driving on paved surface ? Cheers, Alex
Hey Alex! I've been there and one that. Connecting those lines after forgetting to release the fluid is a pain in the as*. I do almost 100% on pavement and the dealer, at the time, said that turf were best for traction in the snow. I think they have the new R14?? tires that seem to be great hybrid. I often contemplate if a pusher and rear blower would have been a better choice but it is very nice to not have to turn around to blow the snow. Have a great week!
No reason you couldn't use the third function for your chute deflector. The reason your dealer didn't do it is because there's no 'kit' for it and it'd involve research and effort in what hoses and fittings to install.
