- India may soon be getting a new Parliament building as part of the central vista project if the Modi govt gets its way. But what are the need for a whole new parliament building and a new central vista project? In this video I explain the concept of delimitation, drawing of constituencies, and its history of how the number of Lok Sabha MPs in the Parliament would need to be increased. I also explain the positives and the negatives of the planned 20,000 crores central vista project. Why are people criticizing it and why has the Supreme Court halted its construction?
This video also discusses how this project is going to affect the south Indian states in their representation in Lok Sabha as well as in Rajya Sabha.
