I miss my Vmax and those gentle battles with the wind, one fine summer day while rolling through the foothills west of Coalinga CA., I found myself in a sweeping right hand turn , 8500 rpm in 3rd about 90 mph. The outside toe of my right boot and foot peg occasionally touching the asphalt I'm committed to my line just inside the double yellow when I saw the freshly squished jack rabbit on my line, several thoughts went through my mind in that next 1/2 second, none of them good. Thinking this is gonna hurt, I hit the rabbit mess with only a slight thump thump. So I slowly rolled the throttle off and cruised the 45 min. ride back. Dodged that bullet. (Gen 1 1200)
1st and the rest of the guys on sport bikes look inexperienced and not wearing the right gear. I'd call the VMax a muscle bike over a cruiser. Just noting, no disrespect, that looks like a fun run.
Well is heavy bike , and fell heavy on cornering, but you get issued to it , you will get bigger arms doing a lot of canyons cornering 😄, handle very good for a cruiser motorcycle, and is fantastic when take out of the curve
Looks like it handles pretty darn good through the corners for not being a crotch rocket. Definitely seems to blow almost anyone away in the straights.😁
YES ! I USE TO HAVE 1996 VMAX , NOW THIS ONE 2014 IS WAY BETTER IN EVERY SPEC , HANDLING BETTER AND I PUT 240 TIRE ON THE BACK. BRAKE A LOT FASTER !! HAVE ABS , MORE CONFORTABLE AND MORE . THE DOWN SIDE IS HAVE 4 GALON GAS TANK
I might be a pussy but, how about wind protection? I drove naked bikes bikes for a while as daily driver and I hated it. Now comfy windscreen and everything, I like that a lot better, but the bike it self is boring. Have only 1 bike as daily transport, like the comfort but want more fun. Can you get some windscreen for the Vmax? Nice riding video by the way
The wind protection is not good like sport bike stock , buy is very comfortable, when installed the OEM short wind screen fell a lot different , I recommend it and is well made, I use every day too , for my is fun bike when accelerate and do some side drift on the corners

I glad you are ok , the gen 2 Vmax is more safe to ride than gen 1 , is more stable,and brakes way more

I get about 88miles out of 4 Gallons (22MPG) riding like that. The Best I've done is (35) or 135-40 Miles riding to a Bore.

Cornering very good but feel and is heavy bike, on the straight line from the beginning to 100 is amazing and very hard to get
