We Nagas need to get rid of this stigma that Maths and Science are not for us. The stigma is so strong that forget about students thinking it's hard, we Nagas in general prefer non local teachers when it comes to Maths and Science 😂

While the curriculum at high-end schools in Nagaland is catered on par with the best in the country but I am referring to the majority of students in Nagaland, including those attending schools in remote locations, government schools, and underfunded private schools. How many intellectually gifted students are being deprived when the Education systems that lack motivation adhere to rigid curriculum standards do not accommodate the needs of intellectually gifted students. The education system in Nagaland requires significant restructuring, student-centered teaching method. Learning through investigation and problem solving, combining formative and summative assessment from primary schools years.

A part of me will never forgive myself for skipping the basics when I was a kid. From science student to Arts students. No proper guidance, totally ignorant and the Naga mentality of hating maths literally killed all the potential and interest that I had about science. From wanting to be an Engineer to failing to solve even a single math problem😆 it's too late but I still love Science ❤

One simple tip is start looking science and maths books from class 6 and go upwards if the basic concepts are not clearly understood.

I really wished they had discuss the topic on the chances of financially backward students getting admitted to IIT.
No financial Sinancial ...only JEE advanced for bachelors in IIT....except that ST quota which may help a lot
Many fellowships are available. In a nutshell, once admitted, no student is deprived of education at IITs due to lack of funds. we are here.
