the worst part is that some of the songs ruined by tiktok (or other platforms) are actually pretty decent. some songs today just don't sound whole. its like you're waiting for that one part of the song that would give you satisfaction, that feeling that would make you bop your head/feet to thee beat, but it's not there. it's like there's something missing, but you can't pin point exactly what it is. to be fair, i mostly listen to high energy music like Eurobeat and Japanese rock, but I've still found some songs in those genres that dont sound whole.

Tiktok literally ruined Young Girl A for me. You may not know the name of the song, but you’ve probably heard it somewhere. The creator of the song unfortunately took his life a few years ago and his work meant so much to me. And then before I know it, the song blows up and a bunch of edgy 9 yos are pretending they like it 😭

some songs today just don't sound whole. its like you're waiting for that one part of the song that would give you satisfaction, that feeling that would make you bop your head/feet to thee beat, but it's not there. it's like there's something missing, but you can't pin point exactly what it is.
to be fair, i mostly listen to high energy music like Eurobeat and Japanese rock, but I've still found some songs in those genres that dont sound whole.

Sadly some the new songs try to desperately go viral on tik tok for that one week trend which is a shame. Often only that „one part“ is the only good part while the rest is terrible or just boring tbh or just a build up for the refrain to come again and more often like Kehlani. the disappointment is the sterility of mainstream music. funny enough, this was seen in the world of classical music too and the shift between the classical and romantic era happened partly because composers started experimenting. many mainstream songs sound "generic" and don't really have anything that makes them stand out so that they can appeal to a wider range of people.

All i have to say is if you find a song on TikTok and you like, try to find the actual song, learn the lyrics to it, find other songs by that person or group of people and when you attend they're concert, it doesn't matter if you're the only one singing along and if you have terrible vocals. Just show them that you are at least the only fan who isn't as fake as everyone else which in comparison to *everyone* knowing only the first few lyrics of the song and nothing else is better.

2 things: First your videos are straight up forward like you explain everything right and you have a logical sense of what is going on in things like the one of the video and also Tiktok(very general) is not bad like everyone thinks that TikTok is a app which literally causes the worst but that's not true. The truth that maybe 1% or less recognises is that the content of Tiktok is absolutely variant like the content is way different between continents. For example, the content of Tiktok in china, Japan etc(where the Tiktok was found) there's so much creative and educational stufd but like in Europe and America(idk about OC or Africa) the content is just atrocious and sucks at a rate of 101% (literally).
