- i hope this video helps you decide if this aftermarket headunit for your mini is what you need. you can find the same headunit in aliexpress or if like me you prefer somewhere local (im in the uk ) i used this website.

Exactly what i was looking. Tnx. in Aliexpress there are so many units. Which system this orange screen? Because i don't see orange screen in compatible system lists there :)
I bought it from another place not from Ali express.

I bought this unit recently. Can you add a front camera to this unit as well? If so, will it go to the yellow port with DVR- V label?
Is the console stable without the bottom screws?
Any functionality issues so far?
It is stable without the bottom screws. I guess you could add a front camera I don’t see why not.
The issues I’ve had so far I think were my fault so I took out the unit fixed what I did connections were loose or wrong and then everything was fine.
I’m very happy with it tbh.
Hi, i was just wondering can you turn off the radio when driving or does the screen have to be on at all times. I can't find a way to turn it off?
Just like the factory radio if the car is on the screen is on.
I got exact same HU it is pretty decent for a Chinese product. The deal at SCP is a rip-off though, got it from aliexpress for about 400€. You can actually change the setting to RHD, that might fix the issue with left/right door

How do you make the light ring follow the Ambient lighting? I have the exact same headunit and have been into the factory settings with the password 1912 and still cant get it working.
You can’t it’s really annoying but you can’t. They should update that and let you.
@@JohnyRodrii Yeah it is annoying, I saw a video of another headunit being showcased in some Chinese factory or something and it was identical to ours menu wise and backend wise except theirs was cycling through the colours.
If you go to settings light settings you can choose some stuff like air con revs etc. but not ambient continuous light.

Are you still happy with the upgraded stereo?
Do you still have problems with the mic for the phone and that the person you are talking to can hear themselves?
A tought, can't you not connect the original mic?
I’m very happy with it especially the audio, it sounds much much better. I had a Bluetooth receiver before and it sounded very average but this stereo has surround sound(go to the settings of the head unit and choose it) and it sounds a million times better. The double audio thing only happens with apple carplay if your connected via Bluetooth but not with apple CarPlay there is no double audio( I’m guessing it’s a problem with the apple CarPlay app used called zlink) and I used the mic that comes with the head unit.
Another thing I should say is there is a slight delay when you press next song a 1-2 second delay and that’s because I have CarPlay through Bluetooth. You have a usb to use with the head unit to connect to CarPlay if you choose I’m guessing that will fix the delay but I just didn’t want cables around so I have it wireless and there is a delay when changing songs.
Apart from that I’m very happy with it.
Hi, I've just installed mine but the phone volume is poor, where did you fit your mic?
@philhyde9694 I put it on the vent at the top where we put the gps right on the other side. I kind of explained in the video where i put it. But on the top vent.
Thanks Johny, I managed to change the door open warnings by going into the factory settings and selecting right rudder. Apologies if you already knew this.
Where in settings is that option ?? Could please explain ? I don’t know how to do that. it would actually be great if you could explain in detail.
Does your factory USB Port still work, and does it have wireless apple car play?
I haven’t needed my factory usb so haven’t tried it but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, I didn’t mess with any of those connections so it definitely should work. And yes it has wireless CarPlay

I've just installed mine today. You can connect the cars usb cable into the new head unit. Im just having problems with my battery since I installed mine. Hopefully it's just time for a new battery and it's nothing to do with the new head unit 😊
@@sarahjackson4858yah I have had 0 issues with my battery so I would say it's probably time to change it.

Hi,Today I installed exactly the same unit in my car. I tried 2 different rear view cameras but no image on the screen. I connected the camera's video cable to the yellow socket shown in the manual and connected the 12v to the rear view camera 12v output also shown in the manual. When I put it in reverse, 12v comes but no image on the screen. How did you solve this? Do you have any advice for me?
You have to choose aftermarket rear camera in settings

It's the 12v supply.Camera does not work when I connect the + wire of the camera to the reserve detection line wire in the unit.So I connected it to the CCD +12v cable on the unit, it works now, but I think there is 12v on this line all the time.Where did you connect the camera + wire?
@selcukKoyuncu-bv5ez I showed it somewhat in the video. The yellow camera cable to the yellow camera female in the head unit and the red 12v camera cable to the 12v head unit cable label as such. And choosing after market rear camera it worked fine
@@JohnyRodriibut how does the unit know you have put car in reverse if you haven’t got anything attached to the trigger wire?
@@JohnyRodrii I have the same unit. I connected the yellow jack to the reverse cam on the unit and connected the red power cable to the reverse trigger on the unit. Then connected the other end to the reverse light power. When putting into reverse it shows the reverse on the unit but no image just black with white lines. Any ideas?
Does anyone have the factory password for this system?
