Ultra Hydrobhobic Material ( Gentoo )
Gentoo is the next generation of corrosion-resistant and easy-cleaning coatings. With its combination of high performing abrasion resistance and very low sliding angle, Gentoo excels where other coatings have fallen short

Triiodide
n chemistry, triiodide is usually referred to the triiodide ion, I−

Hydrogel
Hydrogel products constitute a group of polymeric materials, the hydrophilic structure of which renders them capable of holding large amounts of water in their three-dimensional networks. Extensive employment of these products in a number of industrial and environmental areas of application is considered to be of prime importance

Nitinol
Nitinol alloys exhibit two closely related and unique properties: shape memory effect (SME) and superelasticity (SE; also called pseudoelasticity, PE). Shape memory is the ability of nitinol to undergo deformation at one temperature, then recover its original, undeformed shape upon heating above its "transformation temperature".

Magnetic Thinking Putty !
Magnetic Thinking Putty takes regular "silly" putty and turns its awesomeness up to 11. Like any other putty, it can be stretched, bounced, molded, popped, and torn. However, when this putty is in the presence of a magnetic field, it exhibits fascinating properties

Solution - coat your butt in it first
@@skilletborne I think you stumbled into something there my guy 😲 😲 😲 😲
I would imagine on the contrary, we can use one pice again and again. :D
Yeah you could but you would never need more than one roll of toilet paper ever.

7:21 "gallium metal is one of the least known in the scientific field"
*mendeleev predicted it's properties with shocking accuracy before it was even discovered*
(mendeleev was the guy who made the modern periodic table)
AnOldRetiredElephant i know but because of his small mistake he lost his periodic law
Mendeleev isn't the only guy who we have to thank for the PSE. But this also bothered me. I think they meant to say of the not so much known elements, most people would guess that it's actually Mercury but a lot of people that work in a scientific field will know or have heard of Gallium because of it's rather unique properties.
I think they meant that we don't do anything with it really.
AnOldRetiredElephant yeah a Russian scientist. My favourite scientist ^^.
mendeleev was not the guy who made modern periodic table. He made his own periodic law and then constructed his own periodic law

@@coreycarlos4790 I can't help but question everyone's logic. You see, there's something called OCD in the world - I don't know if you've heard about it before. Judging from your reply, I would assume not.
Very cool video and I love each and everyone of these in this video for sure and keep these cool videos comeing and don't never stop making and posting these type of videos
the last one. Also, regarding that metal memory stuff, cool beans. That would maybe allow a machine, that can assemble, disassemble or reassemble at will as needed. Like a selinoid. Once the machine doesn't need it then it gets repurposed for something else that is needed in that time.

Gallium is way cheaper than what you said
And pretty sure it is toxic
That's Mercury.
That Vaping Gamer Guy no it's not because I was able to buy some on Amazon
Larbooska's Playhouse
Amazon.... where if you really wanted to, could sell a perfectly good car for 0.01 dollars? that Amazon?
RobotHorseAaron gallium isnt as expensive as the video made it out to be, since buying kilos of the stuff doesnt make sense to the average person who would probably want a few dozen grams at most. plus gallium is toxic, not as much so as mercury, but i wouldnt want to ingest the stuff. indium is the only truly non toxic metal. sounds like the video is more clickbait than accurate facts. a good twenty minutes of research could have told you the info they got wrong.
The hydrophobicity treatment is the most amazing to me because it seems to be the most useful in everyday work and life. All of them are impressive, though.
That was awesome!!!
I can sure use that "ultra hydrophobic material" for my toilet seat

Ronak Rajpoot nope because of Mr Beast
ALL TH-cam videos are now about three things: misleading thumbnails; misleading clickbaity titles; and advertising.
I've always been very fascinated by mercury so it has to be Gallium which is even more fascinating. I like how the Gallium moves and reacts. Love the video.
they make you drink it for x rays... yuck...
Thank you for getting us know these wonderful logics..
OMG I can't decide which I love best. All the materials are so cool. Kind of like colours.
Aerogel is pretty cool, but you totally missed all of the innovation of the last 10 years. The original aerogel had amazing insulating and strength per weight characteristics, but suffered from extreme brittleness. There are now some incredible descendents of that technology which eliminate those weaknesses, aerogels that have similar strength to weight ratios and nearly as good insulating properties while also being extremely plastically deformable. By that I mean objects that cannot only hold 500x+ their weigh, but be bashed repeatedly with a hammer without fracturing. Pretty unreal stuff, definitely a sad omission here (IMO).
Good video though! I'd love to have some gallium to play with!!
Long comment bro
I'd be interested to see something on the nano filtration technology being developed to mechanically remove dissolved salt from water. Seems like it might be the most important invention recently.
you can by it on amazon for around $15

Lol
Yaakov N Hadassah, eh it doesn’t really matter some people pronounce words differently. It’s quite common to pronounce nuclear like that
no.
It's not how you pronounce it, it's how you spell it... The word is NUCLEAR not NUCULAR (unless you are Homer Simpson)
Not an Iguana, just because lots of people use "your stupid" instead "you're stupid" doesn't mean that it is okay. It matters and it is not common to pronounce nuclear as nucular. The word you are looking for is "illiterate".

I think the "Magnetic Thinking Putty" would be the most fun to play with. But to me the most interesting is the "Nitinol" I've only ever seen it in small, thin amounts but I wonder if it retains it 'memory' property if it is in a large think block or shape. This would be useful in cars to repair minor damage with just a hair dryer :D

I would use nitinol it to make pop-up tents. Imagine reaching into your pocket and pulling out a small package that looks like a space blanket or heat reflector and some transparent plastic you throw it on the ground in the nitinol wires spring into a tent shape. Instant shelter.
Grubby would have a tent in his pocket before he even left his room, lol!
Awesome 😍
I think it would be interesting in the future if hydrophobic-treated materials were used for things to do with cooking! As long as it’s safe, it’d be neat to be able to not waste some ingredients or substances that tend to stick to bowls, like batters you’ve made.
So hydrogel is the stuff in orbez?
