- It has been WAY too long since I sat down and filmed a good, old-fashioned chatty video! My question for a Q&A: How did you decide that you wanted to take a break from dating? Are you saving yourself for marriage/thoughts on that? Do you plan to stay in Pittsburgh when you move or go somewhere else?

Coconut. I found your content based on you discussing Ryan's passing, because I tend to feel most connected with people when they share more personal things about how they are feeling and about themselves in general. Sharing those kinds of thoughts and emotions isn't easy to do, so I think that's why I'm always looking for it. I have heard that whatever you do it's best to be consistent, like if you start posting twice a week, stick to that. I think sticking to TH-cam is best because I just like to find people in one place, but what do I know, lol.
Personally I think whatever you feel like filming most of your viewers would be down to watch- I definitely appreciate how genuine you are and I think if you stick to filming what you want and feel passionate about your viewers will love that too. I also think sticking to just this one channel works better so people can pick and choose what they want to watch and don't have to go anywhere else to find the content. But seriously at the end of the day do whatever feels the best for you!! Loved the video and coconut :)
🥥I’ve been following shortly before Ryan’s passing. In my opinion the content doesn’t matter. I feel you should post whatever your heart is feeling at that moment. Could be life updates, makeup, fashion, self-healing, etc. To me being genuine is what matters. That comes right through and it’s really what’s important. Being yourself. Good luck!

You might’ve felt rambly, but I completely understood every word. Life threw you some curveballs, and look at you. You might have highs and lows, but you are such a strong, beautiful human. It radiates off of my phone screen watching your video. I truly think (and forgive me if it’s bold) your TH-cam channel is now meant to help and inspire others who might be dealing with some of the things you dealt and are still dealing with. Your grace, poise, and once again strength has inspired me and left me speechless since day one. And I think a lot of people need it. They may not know, they may not let you know, but so many of those viewers from that period of your life came to you for relief. Totally love the rebranding! You are such a relatable speaker, I think finding topics about so many aspects of life, struggles with life, love, finding yourself. Just be yourself and talk, give advice, maybe kind of motivational content? That would interest me so much, because I love hearing you talk about aspects like this. Personally, I love channels that are versatile. Wether it’s a q&a, a vlog, a haul, advice video, cooking video. I like seeing a channel that does a variety of content. If I don’t think I’ll like a video or be interested, I just won’t watch it. That’s just me personally! And coconut 🥥

Coconut for sure!! I personally like vlogs, I don’t usually keep up with blogs but I do drive and listen to podcasts. In your case since you are trying to redirect your channel then I would stick to TH-cam for a few months before trying something new. Q’s: where do you see yourself in 5 yrs? Are you still close to Ryan’s family? Do you think you and Alex would work again or are you moving on eventually? Btw I’ve enjoyed watching you grow as a person, I’m so proud of you! 💕

I am so excited too!! To be honest, you were my voice. I was grieving and you put words to that grief. I get that life goes on, and that we have to put effort in moving forward. But there's some hard days right? And there's so many other factors in my life that were affected by that grief. I guess in a sense I looked forward to hearing from you bc it gave me a chance to check in w myself. It also didn't make me feel silly to see my life through a whole new lense and strive to find that different purpose. So again, I'm as excited as you are bc like you.. I'm still in that journey. The journey has ups and downs, and id love to keep hearing those deeper reflections that only a person who's gone through deep grief can have. Sorry to my best friends, but they just don't get it. You do. Can't wait to keep hearing what else you have to share!!! Coconuuuuuut
I started watching your videos even before you went through the loss of Ryan, just a few weeks but still. Don't be to hard on yourself, there is something in wanting to go back to normality as the way it was before after what you had gone through and it obviously takes time to realize that the old skin you try to put on does not fit any more but that a new normal is what one has to go for. You do you and I am sure you will succeed with that. You can be really proud of who you became....oh and Coconut ;)

Im so so glad you made this decision. I subscribed to you because I was/am going through grief and I was learning along with you. I stayed because i also happen to love fashion and girly things! But I love these raw talks about feelings and overcoming grief or whatever you're going through (i dont want you to feel like your identity is grief or what people subscribed to you for, you can move on from this feeling or keep it to yourself) but just life talks really.

Coconut! Lol. I've been here for a while and enjoy all the different kinds of content you make. I initially subscribed during the brunt of your grieving but stayed because I cared about how you were going to pick yourself back up. I've enjoyed everything you create, however I'm really excited to have the raw Erin back around. Can't wait for future videos!

Coconut! Post whatever interests you! But I do agree with others in regards to liking channels that have all sorts of different content. The only content I’d probably won’t watch as much is make up or hair tutorials. Love the lifestyle direction!! So excited for you and can’t wait to see what you come up with :)

I would say I don't mind picking and choosing what I want to watch on your channel depending on my mood. I love your skincare and makeup hauls and have fallen in love with NARS tinted moisturizer and First Aid Beauty because of you!
Question/Suggestion: I love watching what I eat in a day videos. What food do you usually eat on a normal day? Do you cook often? Do you order food or go out to eat a lot? Does your family or bf prepare food for you or with you?

I'm really excited for this Erin 🥰 I did find your channel for the first time after your video explaining what happened with Ryan and discussing grief. I subscribed because you seemed so genuine and real, I felt an instant connection like I knew you as a friend and I genuinely cared about what you were going through. Since then I've continued to watch your channel, but I have to admit I've gradually stopped watching your fashion/beauty videos quite as much and did feel a little like your heart wasnt quite in it BUT every time you have posted an update or Q&A video I have watched them straightaway and all the way through (coconut!) because I really enjoy listening just to your insights on life. I would be really interested to see more videos like this and hear about your experiences with relationships, work, moving out, grief etc anything you are keen to share really! It seems like maybe you enjoy sharing fashion/beauty photos on Instagram but on TH-cam dont seem to seem as passionate about this, so maybe this would be a way to look at dividing up content. Also I would definitely listen to a podcast I think you have the perfect relaxing voice for it haha! Cant wait for more videos soon. 😊

I actually thought what you said: that in some way you wanted so desperately to be the girl before the trauma that you kind of forced a content that was not yours anymore, but I think we kind of saw it. Coconut. I subscribe to people including you because I like them/feel a connection and am interested in them and their lives. I feel the investment is in them/you and not just content. I watch everything they/you post. Variety is fun and interesting and I don’t pick channels by the “niche” they fill. That said, even if you post only one type of thing going forward I would still watch. I understand the need for subscribers and a following for the channel to survive, but feel that will best be fulfilled by making the content you love and is fulfilling to you.
