Can't Transfer Freighter Base? Try this...

Quick tip to get the transfer base action to trigger.
Noticed the option to transfer your base isn't always showing up for players, so I wanted to share this for those who may not know how to get the transfer interaction to pop up! Hope this helps anyone having troubles. Thanks for watching!!

It is also good to not claim the new freighter immediately, but to back out and go to all the freighter upgrades like hyperdrives etc. and Store them in your exosuit and reinstall them in the new freighter

I did not expect this is still bugged and I only recognize I should find this video AFTER I lost my base. It doesn't help at all they have to overwrite my restoration save right after I made this completely-not-my-fault "mistake"

Had the same thing ,don’t really want to attempt leaving the S class I just stumbled across, but I do have a great one now (dreadnought) just wanted to change to the destroyer looking one. If I leave I feel like the Freighter won’t be here when I get back

Do you need to remove any tech from tech slots first?

I have never removed anything from tech when I have switched freighters. If it make you more comfortable to remove them then by all means do so :)

It’s 10 months later. I just transferred an freighter with rooms and empty cargo bay with no prompt. The buildout transferred automatically without seeing the warning. I emptied the cargo bay beforehand into suit and other ships.

@@palenfu9714 empty cargo bay, and modules, then purchase. Freighter rooms will transfer.

You can leave as much as you want, it doesn't have to be just 1.

I have storage rooms on mine do I have to manually transfer all those items as well as the cargo pods or do they come over with the base?

Any time that I have transferred to a new freighter everything has transferred included cargo pods without issue.

wow I have to start all over again. this and the way every update ruins my planetary base aesthetics make me not want to play the game fr. This should always be an option! As soon I found out I already had a autosave point and reload point due to getting out on the new frieghter. Fkn hell
