So here are the 12 reasons why very intelligent people prefer to be alone.
    1. Deepen relationships with themselves. Spending time alone helps us develop a better understanding of who we are, what we like and dislike, and how we respond in different situations.
    2. Intelligent people often prefer deep conversations rather than casual chatter, making it hard for them to fit in with the crowd.
    3. Intelligent minds are always looking inwardly for ways they can improve and grow and would rather spend time with themselves as a way to get closer to reaching these goals
    4. Having time away from other people gives them an opportunity to step back and observe the world with a fresh perspective which promotes insight, knowledge, and understanding of complex issues or concepts that may escape those who are constantly surrounded by others with different opinions or values.
    5. Intelligent people crave intellectual stimulation more than most people do, so spending too much time with others who don't stimulate them mentally can become draining very quickly
    6. Intelligent people feel more productive and energized when left alone to think through problems & ideas without interruption from other people
    7. Solitude gives them an opportunity for self-discovery and exploration into the depths of their mind, unlocking creativity that may otherwise have gone undiscovered.
    8. Intelligent people are inspired by the sound of silence which encourages them to think more deeply without distraction.
    9. They use not having to socialize to their advantage as they prefer to dedicate their energy elsewhere like exploring science or developing skills in music, painting, etc.
    10. For very intelligent people, introspection is an important part of living a fulfilling life as they can take time to find answers within themselves instead of relying on others for guidance or reassurance.
    11. Alone time can allow your imagination to run wild which is beneficial for any intellectual individual.
    12. High prioritization on quality over quantity, rather than lots of shallow relationships, smart people prefer fewer but deeper connections that enrich their lives instead.

Sometimes I wonder if I am an idiotic narcissist or a truly intelligent person. This video really explained my feelings.

I don't know if I'm highly intelligent. But i love learning and self introspection. I'm often bored in social settings. Perhaps the ideas in this video describe an introvert who could be intelligent.
