Thanks brethren! The reason we do that is to stop the enemy from building seige camps nearby. You cant build seige camps near your opponents structures ;)
imagine if strategy games implemented, 'target type' option, so you could specifically target any siege equipment or archers, or infantry or cav alike, bypassing the mantlet cheese, or wagon cheese on AOE3, then again manlets are arrow shields for arrchers, and it would be impossible to have animations that look nice for archers to use them as cover
Thats why I will never play again against a human. If I play multiplayer I try to find someone to play with me against the AI enemies. Playing like that is pure stress mentally. There is no second your mind can relax.
Definitely! For any kind of economy, you need lots of wood, so first make sure you build lots of wood camps before anything else. While your doing that build multiple food types that cost less wood (apple, sheep farm, meat). If you have 4 food types you get +15 popularity. Thats always a good thing so buy other food types if you need ;) AND don't forget you can change food rations to half or even 1/4. Big tip, I would avoid making bread in the beginning because it cost too much wood. Transition to a bread economy later on (Don't forget tho or you'll run out of food). Hope this helps :)
I hate how you have to build so many wood cutters seems a lil excessive, I've had this game for years and never played it really but lately been looking for a good RTS to get into was thinking about getting AOE 2 DE I also hate how you can see the whole map the entire time in stronghold.
when i play online i give no peace time so when enemy spends all his starting gold on wood and spams buildings i just sent over a bunch of slaves and they usually disconnect because economy boom is their only playstyle
I really hope this shows me how you're supposed to break into an enemy castle. Nothing I try works when the stupid AI makes a Fort Knox even when I play against them on easy mode.
