    We’ve teased it for a few months now while Whipple completed their testing on these kits and the time has come to start releasing them into the wild. But first, let’s learn a little bit about them…
    Whipple is always striving to stay on the top of new technology and is constantly improving their products to bring you the best performance, highest horsepower and most efficiency. Their superchargers are released in a generation format, the most recent being the Gen 4 2.9L setups which have been used to set multiple records.
    We now arrive at the Gen 5! First introduced in the supercharger for the 2018+ Mustang GTs, the new Gen 5 3.0L has a new rotor design, rotor profile, high pressure housing, massive Crusher inlet and comes stacked with a HUGE 150mm Roval throttle body (nope, that’s not a typo!) mated to a 123mm cold air intake.

    I’m interested. I can’t find a single 2014 GT500 using this kit yet. No videos anywhere. Why is that?

    Kind of surprised they didn’t invert it for a dual pass intercooler design.

      I’m not only because it would be a much higher cost for a much smaller market that gets smaller every year compared to coyotes. Based on coyote IM adaptor plates I bet the coyote 3.0 would easily fit. There’s been 2.9 coyote front feeds and manifold adapted this way to the old platform. The newer design is also shorter overall than previous top mount.

    Hopefully the factory electronics for that throttlebody work. Big monos and factory electronics don’t last long

    Does it fit under the stock hood and strut brace for an 07-09?

    I hate proprietary products. VMP learned and now uses factory throttle bolt patterns. Guess I'll be skipping this unit until there's an adapter plate for it.
