Faf de Klerk and Cheslin Kolbe are on the same team and South Africa is the reigning world champion. The All Blacks are amazing and are definitely tough to beat, but they fell apart last world cup. What's fun about international rugby is that you've got this group of elite national teams: SA, Australia, New Zealand, England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales-- and they all take turns grappling for the top. It's rarely the same 2 years in a row and it keeps things exciting.

All Blacks are the best team in history for sure but their biggest rivals are the Springboks(south africa) and after winnig the world cup in 2019 SA are the no.1 ranked team in the world,reigning team of the year, coach of the year and world player of the year.

Cheslin is a match winner no doubt, his north south running is superb, he can change direction without losing pace so effortlessly . He's a little guy but super quick, he'd be in the 4.3's over 40.
He is 5'7, 76kg. Very small for the modern game.

He is not a 10.10 Trae Williams or a 10,13 Carlin Isles or a 10.26 Brain Habbana but he is the worlds most elusive 15 or 14 and his standing acceleration is awesome.

All scenes on your video clip where he doesn't have a cap on his head, are the sevens code clips. But there are multiple clips on the internet where you can find his sevens skills. And correct he got a Bronze medal in the Olympics. Bare in mind there are not a lot of players who can change codes like Ches and be successful in the 15 man code. He is one of a few players who got that right. Mostly sevens players struggle to make the transition as the space is so much smaller. But also those sevens player's got more work ethic and energy once they switch codes.
Ches plays 15s and 7s - the tries where he wears the jersey with the yellow chest and green sleeves are tries scored in the South African 7s team

Looking at the backs in 15s (as they would be the ones best suited to 7/)
I’d say right now the best/most exciting backline in the world would be:
9- Scrum-half - Antoine Dupont (France)
10- Fly-half - Finn Russell (Scotland)
12&13- Centres - Virimi Vakatawa (France) and Semi Radradra (Fiji)
11&14 - Wingers - Cheslin Kolbe and any of Teddy Thomas, Josua Tuisova, Nemani Nadolo, Reiko Ioane, Duhan Van Der Merwe, Damien Penaud
15- Fullback - Stuart Hogg (Scotland)

Calum Caldwell tuisova and Kolbe for me. Radradra is the best full stop. His NRL highlights are amazing 70 tries in 74 games.
Kolbe is 5' 6" 79 kgs. Kolbe started in the 7's side for SA
Faf is just as good in a different position different skills m8. Both top notch rugby players. You should watch an entire game to better understand 15s

All blacks is a great team but not the best South Africa is the world champions therefore we are the best until they take that away from us we claim it. Every rugby team deserves respect , this is a gentleman's game so we respect what each team brings. All these men puts their hears on that field for us so all we can give them back is respect so yeah Rugby is not about that it is literally about the Passion you have for your team or country for those 80+Minutes.

I Play 7s. I only played for 3 months before making the National team. i Watched more 7s, but ive never been a sports watcher. I play not watch... so i have tons of catching up to do.

South Africa and New Zealand currently both have 3 world cups each so they are currently evenly matched, but New Zealand are a more dominant nation and South Africa normally struggle against them. Current world rankings after the 2019 world cup South Africa are ranked 1

There is no one "best" rugby player, you have to compare players that play in the same position, Kolbe is a wing, so he has to be compared with other players that are wings. Kolbe played 7's before graduating to the 15 a side game. Whenever you see Kolbe playing without a scrum cap, that will be him plating 7's

In terms of the "best in the world", its very close between New Zealand and South Africa but if you counting World Cups then its South Africa....(2023 World Champs for the 4th time, retaining the Trophy)...but who knows what the future holds...
