Hey thanks for all your hard work and integrity Stonnie, your videos really help me out and centre me. I always point my friends in your direction and we are all enjoying great relationships with our best friends. God bless you and your family, thanks man.
@@StonnieDennis As a married man myself I'm rooting for you not to get in to much trouble. Seems like getting in trouble gets real easy after getting married. Tell the kid to help you out by not getting hurt to much.
For many years I've wanted to have a Malinois now I see that I would not be a good fit for one of these dogs. I've enjoyed watching the videos and will continue to do so as they are made, but the desire for on is no longer there. Knowing myself I wouldn't do the necessary training and both the dog's life and mine would be miserable. So thank you for showing these videos so that I can see what it really takes to train and own a Malinois. I think a beagle or lab is a better fit for me ( have had both and love them).
Good for you to be willing to admit it. Too many people are getting these dogs because it's the new "badass" dog. I have a Dutchie girl and luckily for me she's fairly tame now but she tested me as a pup.
We have wolf hybrids and they can be challenging, but I LOVE the work and focus it takes to work with them and I have the time to do it, not everyone does. But beagles and labs are so sweet..lol. And beagle puppies are probably the cutest things I have ever seen in my life.
George, I know it's been almost a year but your progress remains impressive. You've shown so many people that training is possible. The first two videos you were so nervous and I bet most people watching could relate. Thank you for your willingness to show everyone your journey. Truly this is a record of a young man doing some impressive work.
George you're doing a great job! Thank you both for allowing us to be a part of your family. I thoroughly enjoy all of your videos. You're my kind of people! 😂
Happy birthday mama Stonnie and way to go George! I only wish I could have grown up in the dog training environment you’re in. Never take it for granted! Goose is a machine.
George, if you set up a small quicksand pit in a back area, it may take your dad a month or two to get out. The channel is yours, at least during that time.
The drive on this Malinois is frightening. Hats off to George! Thank goodness someone is putting it out there how disastrous things can turn out when these dogs are placed in the wrong hands or trained incorrectly. My husband is a retired Police Dog Handler and says they are great working dogs but not pets! It is not fair on this wonderful breed to not keep them busy or working.
In a working line I could see where that would be a big problem for people who are inexperienced or overestimate their ability to handle a dog. But there are many successful cases of people handling a high drive dog. I'm one of them. Now I've owned all kinds of dogs throughout my life and the Malinois I got was definitely one of the most severe challenges I've had yet! He's matured and been guided into being a calm, chill dog when it's "down time." He's fast as lightning, but he can lay down and be jus' Chillin' pretty easily. He's friendly and outgoing and for that I have to "curb his enthusiasm" sometimes. But he's also protective if he sees you as a friend! He's proven that several times. I don't take him to dog parks as like Lexi, he will not "suffer being crowded" and I know he WILL react if somebody's dog is going to try and hump him or bite him. I'm cognizant of his limitations. In my opinion, the most important thing is to have a "Good Fit" between the dog and the owner. And that goes for ALL breeds of dogs. Just saying ALL MALINOIS NEED/ MUST/ ARE..."XYZ" is unwarranted. Mine btw is a "Working Line Dog."
George you rock little man!! I have two sons - one a Marine Sgt and the other a WV State Trooper - I see them when I watch you. So proud - keep up the great work. (Also have two Mals so I understand how hard they are to train).
Thanks so much for making these! My Belgian Malinois puppy will be coming home with me mid November and I just found out my in laws are having a baby next year. It's so good to get good advice and ideas to socialise & train her so that I feel comfortable to have her around kids in the future.
Great work Georgie! I grew up learning my family’s business too- you’re developing real life skills and dog training skills by learning these things from your pop/boss Mr. Stonnie. Keep putting in great work! You’re doing fantastic. Stonnie, seriously awesome stuff here. I know you’re into training dogs but maybe you could do a dad’s day boot camp or something. I know a few men who could use some lessons from you haha ;)
Its always especially weird when you are being watched while you're trying to learn to train. More so again when you know thousands of people will be watching. Great job!!
Ohhhh my! WHAT a huge difference in this dog this week. She’s so good that you forget to notice how good the handler is. Very, very nice job, Georgie. Very nice.
This is a great series, your son is definitely a ring sport world champion in the making. One essential part of owning a Mal is keeping their lives structured, and a lot of that is done long before you get outside. People don't realize how critical that is, those of us fortunate to have these dogs take it for granted sometimes but most people watching this aren't aware of it. It would be awesome to see it.
This is the best training video on personal protection series .. George we are learning coz of you.. Thanks for your desire to train guard dogs.. Today I progressed a little in Tug play
George has the patience of Job with those dogs, us older folks can learn a lot from watching him. I loved watching the work at the lumberyard, we take our Brittany but never thought about walking in the buildings and such. Loved the Conway Twitty reference 😊
Absolutely the BEST video out there. I have 2 Mali pups about 4 mos old and working on simple obedience now. They were house broke in 3 weeks, Amazing intelligence. Amazing drive and loyalty. Stonnie, So glad I found you THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
I feel proud of you dad in teaching your son to take over business in the future. The best thing a dad can do is to teach a child to work for his own good. 🥇🥇🥇
Stonnie, great comparison to kids. I turned down a mal pup because I had no clue how to gain control from the dog. With my GS, basic trainers did not have enough knowledge even for her, so when I finally saw your videos (among others) I learned this incremental process to keep control and get consistency from the dog. I also joined a training club. Wish I knew about all these things when she was very young.
Such a great shot of George after the retrieval! His work has definitely paid off. Really great improvement, love the process oriented approach! Lexy is a beautiful girl btw, I just love her markings!
I like how you break the steps down and you are very realistic and you point out the mistakes but bring in the corrections in a calm way. Thank you. Your family is wonderful.
I think George is an incredibly strong and bright young man evidenced by his willingness to be "out front" on camera learning the dog training business. You should be very proud of him, as I know you really are. What a great dad and son! Btw, Charlotte is a cute little "Super Girl!" (Her previous "BIKE" Work!)
George is a brave young man. I think the most remarkable part of this is George's confidence in his abilities as a trainer. I'm with Stonnie. I love Labs, but sometimes their friendly curious nature gets them into trouble. This week our yellow girl was bitten on the snout by a rattler. We almost lost her and don't yet know if her face will be disfigured. Our labs are much smaller and leaner than yours as their parentage is Irish and British. I learn so much from each of your videos.
Way to go George you are helping me and my 5 shepards so so much I am learning how to train myself I have hope watching you and your dad I'm amazed uou are great keep up the fantastic work
I love this type of video because all those little adjustments you're giving George help to point it to me the mistakes I've made. This is great and I want you to thank George for me for allowing us to be part of this training with him!

Great poise and command presence there George. Finishing an episode without a battle scar is a big win there young man. Nice work with those dogs. Big change in the behavior, much more compliant. Helping them to find the "off switch" . The "on switch" is a hair trigger. "Yer a fine young man".

Absolutely love these videos! Wonderful seeing young George working and learning ( along with the rest of us). I’m raising my first Mal after many years with black Labs and Rottweiler’s, and I find your insights on this unique breed very helpful. Observing your technique and how you coach your son helps us all who invariable make similar mistakes ourselves. Refreshing to see a young man actually doing something other than sitting in front of a game station learning absolutely nothing useful. Keep up,the good “hard” work 👍
Above Excellent video! Thank you for being an excellent educator. George is a very lucky son to have parents that teach him the correct way to train dogs. Good job George, love to see you developing your confidence! You got this!

@@StonnieDennis My pleasure, Stonnie! George's new series helped us the last two weeks while visiting with friends who own a completely misunderstood Dutch Shepherd. Zippy has amazing agility, clearing a six-foot fence with ease. She has incredible power noticeable in our tugging games, and surprisingly, she required significantly less reinforcement of the commands than the German Shepherd in the house did. She was unexpectedly loyal and the most affectionate snuggler I have ever seen, pushing her body into mine for contact at night.
