Never thought I'd experience pain after Werder Bremen. Then the game at Stuttgart was even worse. And now today...this team never fails to disappoint
They need to stop hiring medicore managers and hire a really good one like Klopp, the last manager to win the title. They have good players but just don't have a good manager for crucial matches and situations like this.
Game management was all wrong in this match. Players were all really sluggish and no one looked like they wanted to win. Haller shouldn't have took the penalty because he has never taken one for Dortmund before. Captain should have stepped in to intervene and insist that Emre Can take it instead.
Not much of tactics on display. Just shows the inexperience of Terzic. It's pretty much just hoofing the ball into the box and hope something sticks for 90 minutes. Mainz had so many good opportunities to score more and frankly it could have ended a lot more worse for Dortmund.
I'm not even a Dortmund fan but the way they played is just infuriating to watch. They don't deserve to win anything when they play like that.
By the way, they also collapsed against 12th-placed Chelsea in the Champions League this season.

This is one of the things that separates good managers from mediocre managers. Dortmund has many good players and they should be winning stuff with the right management.

This season Leipzig, Union Berlin, Dortmund all had numerous chances throughout the season and they all bottled it by either drawing or losing to lesser teams when Bayern had dropped points.

O problema de Arsenal e Tottenham é que além de a Premier legue ser um campeonato disputado e de existir um Manchester city de Guardiola, tbm é uma liga bastante disputada financeiramente. Absolutely heartbroken right now, but it is what it is. I could feel the nerves of the players while I was at home watching the game, 200km away. They were almost paralyzed by the nerves and falling 0-2 behind is really tough in moments like that. Players like Brandt, Malen who were in top shape last games just couldn't bring it today. I don't know why Seb were to take that penalty. It would've been an absolute fairytale if he would've scored, but to take your first penalty for your new club in such a decisive moment.. Could've left it to Can honestly. But the second half of the season gave a lot of hope for next season. Immer BvB! Echte liebe!

Would love to see Dortmund win after a long while. Sadly, they played the first half poorly and though they had created many good chances in the second, they were not clinical enough to finish them off. Good substitutions to bring in both Gio Reyna & Julien Duranville which gave their attacking a great boost. Both players always running at opposition defenders and julien in particular created lots of great crossing chances for his team which couldn't finish them off.
One of the bedest match for BD in history. Sad moment... I still think about this match.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the Dortmund players who brought the team in such a high level to be as competitive as possible to lift the trophy. I cried because of the loss, but I can clearly see an instant improvement on this black & yellow club. Next season will be a challenging one, where Dortmund will be even better, let's hope. I'm not a German supporter but even from Greece I love Dortmund since I was 7, and I will continue, go the bees!
I have never cried for my own club liverpool even through we narrow lost the title so many times, the UCL so many times. But seeing my favourite football player Reus just crumble down, broke me. It completely shattered me. I'm still inconsolable. But Reus never needed a Bundesliga to be my top player. I just hope I just don't witness him being a Gerrard.

It was theirs to win and they blew it. What a shame because the Bundesliga had become quite stale at the top of the table for a number of years now and this is the most exciting it's been in a while.
