I had to catch my breath ! , I am constantly amazed by the versatility of the Escrima sticks . I can train with these sticks in my apartment ; and I train often with them fairly often .I also own one of the collapsible batons , I love it : However it is illegal in the state of n.j. and I wouldn't dare carry it ... I learned to never give in to anger , I have learned to look at my surroundings and situations and try to be as calm as possible. Situational Awareness !! Sensei , you are growing on Me .!! Thanks You Sir I will be looking forward to seeing your Cane exercises and Training in the future..
At your recommendation, I purchased the book “When Violence is the Answer”. I’m 70 years old and have Parkinson’s Disease. But…I FIGHT the disease by exercising 7 days a week. On the days I do walking I wear a 25lb backpack from GoRuck. I purchased a hickory heartwood cane from CaneMasters and have been watching your videos for several months now. I have had a CCW and carried a J-Frame revolver on my ankle for over 20 years. I now carry the cane when I go somewhere that I think might require its use. I don’t need the cane for personal mobility. But if someone wants to try to harm me I believe they will be surprised at the quickness and ferocity of my response. Thank you, Mr. Pasquinilli, for providing me with the skills. I live in a rural area and near a small tourist town. It’s not likely I will need to use either the cane or the revolver. But woe be to the person(s) who test me.
Hi Matt, watching Philipino double stick training is beautiful. But in my humble opinion, comparing it to single hard stick fighting, is like a puppy challenging an adult dog. Where the pup jumps in and out with multiple bites, the experienced dog waits for the moment to deliver a single powerful bite. Stay safe. Doug.
Hey Matt, have you heard of the Bodhidharma Cane AKA Shaolin Cane? It's basically a hammer-style cane, similar to a Derby cane. You should check it out and would like to know your opinion on it.

I like the way you look for practicality. I always train that way. I learn techniques but I apply them to how things could go in the real world.
Thanks!
I have a set of them
Great lesson.
Hard disagree on the politics but is what it is.
Good, simple tips.
