I just picked mine up yesterday. I drove across the scale and my tongue weight was 860#s. Leaving my f150 at 7040 of the 7200 GVW - empty trailer with my wife and I in the truck with nearly a full gas tank. I’ve ordered a weight distribution hitch to hopefully relieve the tongue of a little of the weight. Nice trailer but the fridge shifted in its hole with just driving home 6 miles.
Ended up getting a "used" 2512S, a one year model, and 100% love it. Of course it was hardly used so it's like new. Great fridge! It replaced a 6 cuft gas fridge. The miniLite has an 8 cuft gas fridge, that I'll keep until it fails.

We don't have the shower enclosure and water miser, which I would like. Also, we do not have the storage behind the toilet, which would be nice.
Fridge opening is an issue.. but you just need to replace the wood moulding with a thinner piece and it opens without getting in the door's way. Storage is overrated unless you are living in your camper for like 2 months... how much stuff does one need to carry when camping?!?!
@@pesto12601 It all depends on where you are going and for how long. I spent the entire month of July living in my Winnebago Minnie Drop. It's 21' long with no slides. One piece of advice, start the video with the layout of the camper. Layout matters the most to every camper I know and what they choose along with price.
How much more for a gas fridge? We sometimes camp without electric and it's always shaded. I wouldn't want to worry about the refridgerator. We bought this model camper 8 years ago and have NEVER found one that utilizes space as well as this one.
It’s currently $475 for the gas/electric fridge in place of the 12V. I am not 100% sure if they will continue to offer the gas fridge option going into the 2024 model change next month.
These manufacturers have got to start including theater seats in the slides. The wheelwell is always the excuse. If anyone has ever spent hours sitting in a booth dinette or on an armless jacknife sofa, you'll know what I mean.
You’d want a tow vehicle that is rated to tow 6,000 or more lbs to tow this comfortably. Some SUVs and most half ton trucks can handle this. If it’s a full size van rated to tow 6k lbs+, it could handle this.

I’m sorry to hear about these issues. It’s never good to get to a place where you start expecting things to go wrong. Do you have a good RV dealer near you who can check the camper over?
Currently, Rockwood is only building Mini Lite models with slides. To go to a Rockwood without a slide you’d have to look at their Geo Pro line. The 19FD, 15TB and 19BH do not have slides.

UVW gives you a starting point. It’s the true weight of the RV as it sits. It’s an important number. It’s up to each person how much additional weight they are going to add to the coach up to the GVWR. They are both important numbers.
That’s how I feel about houses right now. I get it. The prices on RVs have gone up significantly since 2020. At least the Rockwood is a well built quality product. The entry level stick and tin RVs have gone up just as much.

Get rid of that cheap sofa and replace it with good theater seating. Love that oversized fridge. You also need to put much more solar on the RV. At least 1000 watts.
Unfortunately the design of the slide prevents the use of Theater seats. The sofa is actually sitting on the bottom of the slide. The slightly larger 2205S mini has room for the Theater Seat. Maximum solar capacity for this unit is 3- 200W panels for a total of 600W.

Why don't manufacturers want to make Twin Bed floorplans? Not everyone wants or can crawl over their sleeping partner when getting in and out of bed. And let's face it, 99% of the so-called walk around queen beds have obstructions on each side still requiring you to crawl into bed.
I wish there were some more! Rockwood actually dropped one of their only twin bed floorplans for 2024, the 2204S Mini Lite. It would be great if on some floorplans they had the option to swap the main bed with twin beds.
Yes, I know. I soke with a rep at the factory looking for a twin bed floor plan and was advised they didn't sell so they dropped them from their 2024 line-up. I totally disagree with that decision unless they are eliminating older and physically challenged campers from their customer base. I live in Maine which has the oldest aged people per capita in the U.S. even older then FL. We (I'm 72) find it difficult to get in and out of bed when ingress and egress is by means of the foot of a queen bed due to the bedside floor obstructions / build-ups . The aging of our citizens who still want to enjoy RVing need a manufacturer to start designing campers with that in mind. Bigger bathrooms with ample room around the commodes, easy step in roomy showers, dinettes that you can actually sit in with enough table height to get your knees underneath, railing on one side of entry steps, and of course more twin beds as an option and make getting in and out of queen beds easie.@@RousseausRVWalkthroughs
There are certainly lighter RVs on the market. Rockwood makes their Geo Pro line that starts at 2700 lbs. Compared to all the other Rockwood Mini Lites, this is the lightest of the 10 models they offer.
You are doing the future owners a disservice by not telling us the gross weight rating. Very un professional. Make the sell and not care about their safety.
Did you see the part of the video where I show the GVWR and read it out loud? It's around the 2-minute mark. I am not hiding anything or trying to deceive anyone. Even the manufacturer lists an unloaded vehicle weight and a cargo carrying capacity separately because GVWR is a maximum possible weight based on how much cargo a person can safely carry in their rig. Everyone starts with a UVW and understands that if/when they add more cargo, the weight will increase. I have never sold an RV to a customer when I knew their tow vehicle couldn't handle it. It's the responsibility of the dealership to discuss tow ratings and GVWR with customers, and this is something we always do. I am not selling anything from these videos. No one purchases from a video. RVs are purchased at RV dealerships. Some of my customers have come into the dealership after seeing a video, but once we begin to discuss a possible purchase, one of the first things we discuss is their tow capacity and what RVs they can handle. Any RV dealership will have the same discussion with their customers.

Some of that caulking looked messy. Shoddy work.
A little messy, but that thing isn’t going to leak.
Those Cheap Jacks are hard WOBBLY no for me
Had high hopes for ours. Sold it for a loss. Horrible quality, so many things broke
Sorry you had a bad experience. Was it a Rockwood mini?
4500 lbs is not light!
There are certainly lighter RVs on the market. Rockwood makes their Geo Pro line that starts at 2700 lbs.
Compared to all the other Rockwood Mini Lites, this is the lightest of the 10 models they offer.
I agree. I went to an RV showroom and walked around. All these lites....they are called, not light...but whatever. They were NOT lightweight.
Nice but no dinette table.
THAT IS A TELEVISION, MY COMPUTER SCREEN IS BIGGER THEN THAT.
could i tow this with an SUV ?
Dry weight 4450lbs depends what yours pulls.
If that SUV could tow 6000lbs or more, it could tow it comfortably.
