  • The case Jimenez v. Holder was argued on October 23, 2013, at the Ames Moot Court Competition. The presiding judges were Hon. Ruth Bader Ginsburg ’56-’58, Associate Justice, U.S. Supreme Court; Hon. Merrick B. Garland ’77, U.S. Court of Appeals for The District of Columbia Circuit; Hon. Ilana Diamond Rovner, U.S. Court of Appeals for The Seventh Circuit.
The Ames Competition, held in the historic Ames Courtroom of Harvard Law School, is one of the most prestigious competitions for appellate brief writing and advocacy in the country. The students participating in the Final Round started the competition in fall of their 2L year. Two teams progressed to the Final Round through their strong research abilities and excellent written and oral advocacy.

"Assuming [gunners] don't deserve to be persecuted"
As a 1L, I think I almost split my sides.

Ezra Marcus is the guy visible just above the first student's shoulder during the advocacy. Incidentally he is on the Moot Court Finals for 2014. It's just fun to see the different generation of student advocates have their time on the floor.

Who gave anyone consent to use my life and my grandparents lives to promote what these ppl have done in our names. that needs to be cleaned up in an extreme way. Can't wait to weigh in with facts.

if you took a law student from 1797 or 1930 even, these students/lawyers would not even be close to being able to compete, the height of the bar, is Mac Donald drive thru certificates
