AURORA told Clash Magazine: "It’s about all our consuming, the endless hunger for money, food, clothes and how we’ve destroyed the world because of that hunger. We force ourselves to not see the people dying to make you a t-shirt because you’re hungry to buy as many T shirts that you can. We waste money and time on things that won’t make a difference."
I am excited because I think a new album is coming soon. She did a TH-cam posted video performance in Japan recently and at the end she said that she has been busy in lockdown and she has lots of music!! I cannot WAIT for a new album from her, as well!
This is Aurora making a song like she orders her hair-style. Do you want it short or long? "Yes". Here she is asked - do you want it to be more upbeat or more jungle/alien/tribal/voodoo with some Norwegian "kulning" thrown in? Her answer is not surprising.
She's one of my favorite artists now and I have see her show one day when she comes to the USA...she's amazing. She did a cover of Thank You by Alanis and I was happy to hear her do a song I've heard before too😊
I know how much you think of Aurora. Now it is time for you to see her in a more joyous mode, with a song that bears some relation to "Daydreamer" but was written in 2015. The song is "Conqueror" and watching one of the live versions (from the Honda stage or the Jimmy Fallon talk show) is just a joy to see her performance including her uninhibited dancing. Watch it soon, you will adore her even more.
My father used to ask me when I was a kid. "Lena, if you want to catch flies, what would you use, vinegar or honey?" Honey, ofc.. I thought it was a silly question. But this is what AURORA does, she tells us through the songs about our flaws and misdoings, and she wrappes it in pleasent music and sound. The message will be embedded on a deeper level due to this, and will reach out to more people, and more will wake up to this truth. G E N I O U S, just got to love AURORA
Love the reaction man! One thing you got wrong about the power part; she says "never", not "ever": "all we never get is power". You still caught the overall meaning of the song though! Humans are insatiable and our hunger for stuff we don't need will ruin the planet, basically. For reasons unknown, she's never done this song live.
The chanting is from our Norwegian native same-people. It's called joik. Love from Norway 🇳🇴 Buy the way, you should listen to some Norwegian same joik. It's really special. 👍
Yeeeyy! I love your interpretation, thank you for reacting to Aurora 💜Would you react to more of her work? Pleeaaaseeee! Love, peace and light from Argentina 💫

Hey! i noticed that u have not reacted to any of her covers yet ;) They are absolutely beautiful and she makes them all seem like her own songs almost... I would highly recommend these covers: "Believer", "Life on Mars" and "God Is a Woman" Thanks for the great reactions and perspectives! :)
......🤔 - Howcome you have not reacted to Through the Eyes of a Child - the VEVO UK LIFT live version??? - I dare you to watch it....😜 - challenging you to watch it.🤪 - throwing pinecones at you , till you watch it 😇 - and let us watch your reaction.🥰 - aaaaand GO !!!!🤩
I’ve never heard someone say Aurora the way you do....I kind of like it, hehe. If you want to say it the right way (in english) its pronounced like HOW without the H + rora, not Ayora 😉 Anyway, I always look forward to your reactions, cause you analyze her songs so well👍 Im still waiting for you to react to another Norwegian artist, Emilie Nicolas (Feel fine and Oh love).
OK Fable, you try to get the meaning of the lyrics just by listening to the song ... so I have a challange for you, another Aurora song: Wisdom Cries That's a hard one, and so very different from what you have heard by her so far.
@@RommerskirchenFrank That's why I specifically requested that one. I guess it's a challange for everyone even if you have the written lyrics at hand. (Ich weiß, dass ich damit vielleicht etwas gemein bin :D )
@@yubogolfer4040 what are your ideas? Shell i tell you mine? I guess the whole mankind is asking those universal questions, since they watched the night skies... who are we? Where do we come from? Is there something behind the physical borders? What will be after death? Is there a God? Is he probably good? Is there an afterlife? All philosophers asked those questions. Today science does. The same questions... physic meets metaphysics... maybe science does not ask for a heaven or paradise. But they want to know how everything startet. We are traveling back in time by using telescopes like Hubble... the farer we look, the closer we get to the big bang. Point zero. But what is before the big bang? This is already hard to think of.... could it be, that Aurora is dealing with that? Are the diamond eyes telescopes? And if we could go there? What would we see? Maybe we would be highly disappointed if we would find out that there is just NOTHING. I guess wisdom would cry. And we would do also, because if there is simply nothing, there is no comfort then. No hope. No beliefs anymore. What would our bare existence would be for? That's something to cry about... don't you think?
@@RommerskirchenFrank Well, to be honest it would be unfair if would make a guess on the interpretation because I know the interview where Aurora explained the meaning behind of it from the perspective why and how she wrote it. So with that in mind I couldn't answer your question without being biased by that knowledge. Your interpretation is a really good one, especially with seeing wisdom as a metaphorical person that cries, but not necessarily about the lack of deeper reason ... but maybe about the fact that it gets ignored and forgotten when we look at the state of the world and mankind today.

never knew that, my interpretation of this was people starving, black people. like she is shining light on the less fortunate.
@@bilsdweeb you know black people aren't the only ones starving, right?
AuRoRa is a musical genius! im hungry for her new album.
